Yep, that sounds about right. Saw them at Tivoli, Utrecht about that time. Beer was flying everywhere. Saw them twice in Tivoli actually. The Tragically Hip was another great live band in that period.

Me and my buds used to check them out at the Whiskey but mostly at the old Palamino club. People would dress like the 50's and dance the way they did in the 50's. They were hot!

Actually, you're in good company. Daddy Yar is the 4th most popular video on Poker Party. with 287,000 hits over 14 years, it averages around 500 view a month, and about a 3rd of those are return viewers. I think they're a standout group. Thanks for posting.

It's actually an X-550. They're the carved top version of a 500. Not too many of them made. Dave has 2 of them. This one is his road one. He doesn't take this one on the road anymore either. I assume it's due to the value of it.

Down to the very last time I saw them , 4 or 5 years ago at Green Bay , they never failed. Some people called 'em R'n'B in the 80's , when they were about 10% R'n'B to 90 % RAB. It's true they got into Blues , more and more , when they were on Alligator , but ,when Tom rejoined , they commenced to rock like fuck.
