1:05:39 part of the reason dragon ball cards look the same is the plain artstyle. Sorry Pk but to me Dragon ball doesn’t compare even to the regular cards of a Pokemon sets in my opinion. They all look like and have that DBS anime style which makes them plain and boring. Is not really art in the same way Pokémon or even One Piece is doing. Pokémon with the amazing artists that they have makes the art feel so fresh & new and like a new perspective on the Pokémon world with each of the amazing styles. If Pokemon cards looked like they were just art that could be from the show it would look dull in comparison like Dragon Ball looks at the moment. I wonder if it’s something contractual limiting the dragon ball art because One Piece that is by Bandai too and the artwork is way different and really beautiful and has even cases where There’s artists that do Pokémon cards that are also doing One Piece Art but I have not seen anything like that from Dragon ball

We shall see. Only if pull rates increase significantly, or print quality gets better on the to-be-pulled Magikarps from the reprint.... cause everyone's chasing that PSA 10 Karpy at this point... that's whats really keeping the price high... so we shall see.

Every single Pokemon video creator on KZbin is literally going into "rip and ship" or some shilling of some grading service/ancillary and unnecessary card product. I've almost lost interest in all Pokemon KZbin video content individuals .... I miss the days of content and hobby discussions..... who is buying into these rip and ships. Blows my mind....

@@Mikeycello It's tragic... I get making money, but it's gotten to the point of feeling exploitative and it's on every single level by every single one of these people..... I still enjoy CTR streams but they peaked about 5 months ago.... go watch the Machamp chase, that video is hilarious..... I used to die laughing at his streams but since the rip and ship stuff started with his streams, they aren't even 1/3 as interesting or funny. I sell cards every day for a living, so it's not a jab at making money, its just the rip and ship thing.... it's just so over done, and I am so tired of hearing about "rip and ship" or "streaming "breaks" live".... it's beyond overkill and its so exploitative. Paying a stranger higher prices for them to open packs for you that you could buy and open yourself... absolute sheep....

I hope the whole event is a success for the both of you. It sounds like a great opportunity for PSA members who still have that credit available to them to get stuff at an amazing price. I think a Paldea Evolved reprint was inevitable. The set will still be playable for quite some time (not sure if this set is more for collectors or players, tho) and it's been pretty hard to find at retail for a while now. At least that's how it's been here. I think the set is solid enough to withstand this. It may stagnate for a bit longer because of this but I don't think it'll be too long.

I rarely find myself agreeing with you, but with this paldea thing I am 100% of the same mindset. Everyone is saying it's a small reprint, prices won't go down that much, etc. But this hobby is mainly held by paper hands. Just watch what happens as soon as the actual reprint hits for paldea and for that matter 151, people will lose their minds. Pokemon will reprint the crap out of everything, why? Because they always do! Roaring skies bring up any memories? Hmmm?

I'm not sure there will be true reprints but more along the line of a restock. 151 is not getting reprinted.... it's on its final push of specific ancillary product restocks right now to various big box stores of all sizes across the US.
