I hope nobody is holding their breath waiting for that Nintendo lawsuit. People called this pokemon with guns 3 years ago. That press statement about an "investogation" was them telling everyone "yes we saw it, stop messaging us about palworld."

Leezpunk is the same concept as Scraggy/Scrafty, but looks nothing alike. It actually looks cute and a little cool, for one thing, instead of looking retarded and butt ugly! Likewise, Chillet is the aesthetic bits of Furret that are good, but enhanced, and the special powers that Sneasel had while looking nothing like a weasel. Chillet is both a better giant ferret and a better kamaitachi.

Can you call it a war when the winner is already set in stone tho ? I'd rather call it a slaughter. Every freakin game out there is a copy of some other game. Games are repetative and alike for a reason. Never change a running system. I dont get the hate when there should be nothing but appreciation. Dont develope a stockholm syndrom

honestly i can’t be mad at the blatant rip off palword is just because of the disappointment pokémon has been providing. it’s embarrassing to drop $60 on a game so lackluster and buggy. if someone wants to make a better pokémon, then i’m more than happy to switch ships

It's a very complicated situation. There are countless games that have taken obvious inspirations from other titles; Soulslikes and Zeldalikes are dime a dozen at this point, and there's plenty of popular indie games inspired by Pokemon like Coromon or Temtem. The difference here is the blatancy of the copying; Palworld's entire roster is mostly composed of legally distinct versions of Pokemon, and it's very easy to tell. Even if they didn't outright steal models or use AI, it's not exactly a creative decision. I don't really think Nintendo is gonna do anything to Palworld beyond stopping mods that are putting actual Pokemon into the game and you can't really fault them on that... however, IF Palworld actually used AI, we're smack in the middle of a situation that will probably impact the future of gaming on par with the rating system being formed.

But why? If it was more like pokemon not only people would complain more, but the game would be trash like every single pokemon after Emerald, pkm was good back when i played the first generations but that is over, the only people holding to this franchise are people who refused to grow up. In 2019 i tried to play every pkm and i had to stop after black and white because it was bad, boring, repetitive, and a clone of the first games, the same thing all over again. That's pokemon, the same toddler easy game over and over again, buy two games for no other reason than greed to play an bad jrpg twice 😂. Palworld is something different, and that's why it sold more than 19million.
