I once saw this image that said that if someone lived for 80 years and earned an average of $5,000.00 every day of their life, they still wouldn't be a billionaire, but rather have about $150,000,000.00. At the bottom of the image was a line that said that no one works to become a billionaire. So yeah, we should be taxing multi millionaire and billionaire individuals and corporations in this country more then we currently are! And if you want to argue that taxes shouldn't be raised on the wealthy and corporations, how can you defend them when they send their U.S. dollars to other countries so they can't be taxed and help fund domestic programs to help poor people here in the U.S.?
@furonwarrior

I don’t argue against taxing the wealthy, but that it’s more complicated than just telling them that they owe more money… hence the off shore bank accounts. Everyone pays the same tax regardless of income. Sales tax, property tax, cell service tax, property tax, tolls, entertainment tax, car registration. ( I can keep going) It's all the same regardless of income level. The only tax that changes depending on income is income tax, which the rich make up 40 percent of federal income tax despite being a very small portion of the population. Taxes on luxury and non basic items, (planes, yachts, mansions, luxury cars, etc) would be higher and taxes on basic goods would be none or much less (milk, tampons, diapers, food, clothes) . @@spottedscimittar9402 Do you think you'd _actually_ go to such lengths avoid paying taxes if you were a billionaire? If you had more money than you could ever spend in your lifetime? More money than your kids could spend in a lifetime? I think we tend to forget just how much a billion is. It's a pointless amount of wealth for individuals to hoard. I can't imagine being that rich and not giving away buckets of money.

@@jospinner1183 why would you give away all of your hard earned money? You should just invest the money to keep your company going for decades!

@@spottedscimittar9402 Billionaires do not _earn_ their money. They inherit. They get lucky. They take advantage of others. Do you legitimately think that the King of Jordan _earned_ his billions? How about Putin? Even American billionaires, who live in a country so friendly to the super-rich that they don't even _need_ hide their ill-gotten gains, haven't gotten ultra-rich due to hard work or genius. Most Americans work harder than Jeff Bezos, and there are plenty who have more expertise. "You should just invest the money to keep your company going for decades!" -- Are you actually suggesting that the continuation of a private corporation is more important to support than the poor? Than the marginalized people who allow these people to even get super-rich in the first place?

I have never understood why it is "greed" to want to keep the money you have earned but not greed to want to take somebody else's money.
