seems like an 80's version of the Runaways... the old "girls can rock too" troupe. back in the day nobody paid serious attention to these objectively not so great bands. Now we are told they are some groundbreaking amazing legends. Funny how that works.

Nobody is telling me bands like the Pandora’s are groundbreaking. The album by them I heard earlier, every song was an “lol sex” type song, and made me think “this is the mother of Steel Panther’s style.”

Did you ever see The Pandoras in concert? They put on great shows and nobody here but you mentioned they were groundbreaking. They WERE amazing live and they got national exposure on "The Arsenio Hall Show." And Kim became even more amzing with The Muffs, which allowed her to play the music she wanted to and love. Great show notwithstanding, the trouble was Paula seemed to me to be incluenced by the next fad and a lot of her band came and went--like Kim, who didn't like the heavy metal direction they were taking, but Paula was still a talented songwriter and performer.

@@dietpepsivanilla3095 not that I recall. no doubt they are good like a lot of bands were then. Bands like the Runaways are what they are. Not organic first of all which is why people go in other directions... they weren't really metal girls to begin with they were a put together produced concept band. I actually did have Runaway records in the 80's but even then they were already very obscure... almost nobody I knew had ever heard of them and they few that did didn't care. Have you ever sat and listened to a complete Runaways record? I have many times. One of those bands I tried to like but in the end there were just a few songs that were kinda OK. So to see them lionized today well ya know why that is happening and it's not because they had great music. Joan Jett did OK and has several legit (IMO) great songs but again I can't say I like most of her albums if you listen to the whole thing. 4-5 songs is still better than most. Lita Ford on the other hand is IMO the best of the bunch. I still do listen to entire Lita Ford albums and they are great. She is the best heavy female guitarist still to this day. She can stand on her own and that's what we like to see.
