Dirk: 20.7 PTS / 7.5 REB / 2.4 AST / 0.8 STL / 0.8 BLK / 51.2 eFG% Luka: 28.7 PTS / 8.7 REB / 8.3 AST / 1.2 STL / 0.5 BLK / 54.2 eFG% He outrebounds a 7 footer and has better eFG% than a dude considered to have one of the most unguardable shots. That is without the fact that unlike Dirk, Luka creates for the whole team. Until it is all said and done AND Luka gets at least 1 chip to Dallas, Dirk will be the greatest, but Luka is already the better player and it is actually quite evident

Luka: 28.7 PTS / 8.7 REB / 8.3 AST / 1.2 STL / 0.5 BLK / 54.2 eFG% Dirk: 24.8 PTS / 8.3 REB / 2.9 AST / 0.7 STL / 0.9 BLK / 51.6 eFG% Doncic is evidently better in all aspects apart from the 0.4 blocks per game advantage of Dirk. You'd think that a 7 footer would at least have more rebounds than a PG, but nope.

Dirk is obviously greater considering he played 20 years and got the MVPs and Ring. But you’re just straight up being an oldhead stuck in the past if you can’t admit that Luka is a better player already at the age of 24-25 than Dirk ever was. Dirk himself would literally be the first person to tell you that. Mark Cuban and Jason Kidd have said it as well. 5 first team all nba in his first 6 years, conference finals and finals by 25, I mean he was literally dropping 40 point triple doubles and game winners on *prime Kawhi and Paul George’s heads* as a 20 year old kid in his debut playoff series. Luka had a great all around defensive year before he got injured right before the playoffs. Statistically he was the 9th best ISO Defender and legitimately top 2-3 best PG defender all season long. You can tell it just got too much that he had to take painkiller injections before each game, he needed to conserve energy more than ever too to facilitate and score so he had to rely on team defense but Boston was just too good. If Dallas had faced a team like the 2023 heat and not a literal superteam they would’ve won but they lost so the narrative shifted again and just blamed it all on Lukas defense when his literal teammates couldn’t make shots to save their lives and choked!
