I just finished box 1 last night after getting the PDF via email delivery. Dark brown is the hardest to see in the printed instructions for me even with Lego. No missing pieces so far! There are some flimsy build steps where elements are only supported by 1 stud but everything seems to firm up in the end. Like you said no Minifigures but there are some built in display areas for them like behind the counter. The clutch power is perfect and the translucent elements are not cloudy like most other brands. There is a 15% off promo code for all Pantasy sets on Amazon so I ended up paying $85 US for this so definitely worth it. Once done this set I am building the Pantasy Forest Cabin next.

The Pantasy set looks really good overall. I love all of the detail inside and all of the printed bricks. The gym is probably contains my favorite builds. And I don't mind the lack of minifigs, I prefer to supply my own anyway. However, it does appear there are more noticeable gaps between adjacent bricks than there would be in a normal Lego set. When you displayed close ups of the outside walls, especially the tan ones, all I could see were these prominent black lines outlining the bricks (example, 6:48). I just checked my Lego sets and I don't see that nearly as much. And, while the baseplate is much thicker than a normal Lego baseplate (which I really like), it still appears to be bending upwards at the corner (11:10). It's still not quite there for me yet, but definitely getting REALLY close. Great to see that Lego is finally getting quality competition these days!
@SheClicksBricks7 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing those observations🥰. Competition is good for Lego. Pantasy isn't the only brand coming after Lego. CaDA, just to name one, also produces strong sets. Thanks for your support.😊

Regarding the flimsy lightpost/traffic light - try pushing the rods all the way down into the hollow stud below (the 2x2 jumper plate with the hollow stud in the middle). It should become much more stable then.

Very nice set. In Japan we get no piece count either with regular LEGO sets. Also the very bottom LEGO base plate is vac injected which is traditional for their Modular’s but cuts the thickness of the plate by half. Pantasy there opted for an actual regular thickness plate. Many folk correct the height difference on those LEGO plates by sliding large tiles beneath them. Excellent review, sad it comes with no figures but that’s probably for the best as I think folk have a strong comparative bias towards LEGO figures. Which is a shame a lot if the off brand figs look very nice specially if you see them as their own thing and not comparing them to LEGO.

I am surprised about the piece count and was not aware of the base plate process. So much good information in your comment.🥰Thank you very much and Thank you for your support ❤️

I have minor quibbles about the set, but overall it's excellent--and priced vastly better than Lego for the same quality. The Pantasy stream punk train station is one of the best sets I've built period, any brand. Cobi, Pantasy, Cada, BlueBrixx, et al. are making Lego, with their outrageous prices and mostly predictable designs, look bad. So many great non-Lego options out there now, often priced way better.

Sherlock was amazing, I hope you are enjoying it. I started looking for alternatives simply due to the price of Lego and wow, I am so glad I did. Both Pantasy and Funwhole have been game changers. Very nice looking set, some clever detailing like the window pieces used for the sidewalk decorations, and unlike Lego sets the interiors aren't absolutely cramped. You could play with a set like that even though architecture sets are usually adult oriented. Though I would have preferred the bakery to take two floors to have a bigger baking area, maybe a delivery area, and other details. I've also never seen a bakery where everything isn't behind the counter. While the fountain in front is nice it's a bit big for a sidewalk this size and imo kinda detracts from the point of the set, I think it would have been better on the side of the set, with a small park for peeps to relax in (though that could be a set on its own) while they eat some fresh baked croissants and other viennoiseries au chocolat.

Hey hey! What a fabulous set. And for the price, that’s insane! I think if Pantasy et al can do it for these prices, why can’t the Danes? The amount of detail is incredible, not to mention the packing and the manual. I used to work in print and design for the U.K. Government. One of my biggest gripes was designers producing graphics or text on a dark background. Pantasy are not alone in doing this with their instructions. I have reason to complain to LEGO on numerous occasions when they’ve done the same. Like you, I use a PDF on my tablet to build. It allows you to zoom in, especially on dark elements. I’m just finishing an AliExpress version of the Ghostbusters firehouse. So many printed elements and the same sticker sheet as the original had, and the same quality. The Minifigures are ok, but not perfect! Loved watching your build and review of this super set 👍

Yes, 14 years ago For trademark "Lego's bricks can't be legally protected by trademark law because their two rows of interlocking studs are a functional, technical shape that cannot become the property of any one company."
