From when I first heard BLOOM , 8 years ago back when I was China , I stuck with paper kites in every moment in my life. After graduated from uni in China , I went to Sydney for 3 years knowing that paper kites is an Australian band and I'm all preparing myself for them , busking their music on the Sydney streets , going to work with their song , getting back home drunk with their song on a winter day , and went to their concert is the biggest achievement !! I'm late to the show, but grateful that youtube tosses out precious gems like this. It's early November and too cold out and too wet, but to walk above the city and see the black velvet of night catch all the gemstones this beautiful city reveals in the dark, is a sort of alchemtly.. even if it is only Portland, Oregon, and we must cover our ears to the sound of the gunfire and shield ourselves from the dis-ease of those around us. In this current climate in which we live, which has less to do with weather, than heartspace, and struggling to survive...this sort of music is our only escape.
