A German prophet, name Alois Irlmaier, said, that he saw in one of his visions that one day the people will become very angry about the things the bureaucrats did / let happen and will hang them without any mercy at the next door frame… (after a trauma he had experienced in WW1, he had this kind of visions and has even proven in court his abilities). He saw that happen in Germany…and he also said, he is happy, that he will not live any more , when this will happen, cause this years will be horrible to go through…

I like CS Lewis' analogy of believers being like a wooden block. The sharp corners are our sin and the defects of our characters. When we give ourselves over to him he helps us to whittle away those sharp edges to get us on the path for an eternal life with him. It may not be an easy or pleasant experience but it is necessary to prepare us.

I have repented my hedonism (pleasure seeking). No drinking, smoking, drugs of any kind, chocolat, sugar, caffiene, chasing money, social standing. I practice gratitude, try to be humble, turn the other cheek, pray daily, but do not follow any religion. I believe in a higher power. I always say "be like Jesus" even though I'm not sure I believe in the man made narrative I was presented with in Catholic school as a child. It's not easy sometimes. I am tempted in a myriad of ways. It's an ongoing, never ending struggle. Evil is always lurking....in all of us.

I’m an ex-Catholic who never truly found God through the doctrines of the Catholic Church, which I now see as veering away from Christ’s teachings. My journey to faith took a transformative turn when I encountered the works of Martin Luther, William Tyndale, and George Müller. These men not only changed the course of Christian history but also deeply inspired me to seek a direct and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through the Reformed Church of Scotland, I was amazed and humbled to realize that I could have God as my personal friend, walking with me daily and hearing even my unspoken thoughts. Nothing is hidden from Him He knows every thought, every intention of the heart and yet, in His grace, He invites us into a loving relationship. When I began living in daily communion with God, my faith became alive. I saw prayers answered, needs met, and His sovereignty working in every part of my life. This was something I could never experience as a Catholic, where the focus seemed to be on intermediaries, rituals, and deference to fallible men rather than a living relationship with God. Men like Luther and Tyndale fought to make scripture accessible to all, and Müller showed what a life of faith and prayer can achieve, even in the face of human frailty and need. To walk in fear of the Lord not as terror, but as reverence and awe is to gain freedom from the finite, flawed ways of man. When God is truly your foundation, you no longer live under the shadow of others’ control or sin. Living with God daily, by the minute, brings strength, clarity, and hope that cannot be found elsewhere. My life changed from being a full time sinner to a part time sinner, but most importantly being aware of my sin, checking it scolding myself for it, and repenting of it, sin is something we can never rid ourselves of as we are so fallen.. but by being aware of our weakness for sin we can mitigate, and live a healthy life in Christ..

John the Baptist, representing the old, made the way for Jesus, representing the new, by preaching a message of repentance. It is repentance that transforms the old wine skins in to new. The new wine skins are under the new covenant of grace through faith, while the old skins remain under the old covenant of the law. "Christians" who continue a lifestyle of deliberate sin, and think they are covered by grace, are deluding themselves, for without true repentance they remain under the old covenant of the Law, ultimately satisfying neither of the two. It is these to whom the Lord will say: "Away from me, I never knew you." For the record, this is just my theory, and I remain open to correction on this, as I remain open to listening to other people's opinions on the subject.

Anyway keep up the good work.😉

I believe my brothers health has since become compromised, and so l have often wondered as this all begins to unravel, what becomes of each side of the family during subsequent Christmas gatherings? Perhaps this weakening or in its most extreme form destroying of the family, through unnecessary deaths may be just one more gift that keeps on giving? With less people effected being around, may mean at some point all this will just simply go away? It would certainly fit the narrative.🤔

It's an interesting point, but Justification by Faith isn't I would argue a doctrine exclusive to the Apostle Paul and Romans. We know from the Gospels that on the Cross at Calvary, Jesus comforted one of the robbers being crucified alongside him. One of the robbers goaded Jesus for not saving himself, but the other had accepted and voiced his guilt and the punishment he was receiving and requested that he be remembered when Christ came into his Kingdom. Jesus replied that he would be in Paradise with him. There is no suggestion that the robber had changed his ways but had repented at the point of death. So, I don't think it's quite as cut and dried. It doesn't sound to my way of thinking right to imply that the Apostle Paul was in some way reinterpreting the Good News and departing from the essence of the Message. Thank you for sharing a thought provoking commentary nonetheless.

Well all that can be debunked by simple thought experiment where one is in some kinda prison simulation of the real thing and how you go through this life will be your destiny in next. I may be wrong but how I have been taught and come to understand things is that we cannot earn our salvation through our works. Nothing we could ever do would earn our salvation however that does not mean we should ignore or fail to keep the law/commandments. We were given the law so that god's people could flourish. We should do good works to show our thankfulness to the lord for his saving grace and to show to other none believers that god's children are different/set apart. I know that some people confuse salvation by grace with discipleship. Not everyone is called to discipleship and this path is more difficult, however even if we don't follow this path it doesn't mean we should continue to sin or show no repentance. We are however human and it is in our nature to sin so we will fail regularly and need to ask god for forgiveness. Now I'm still learning and have much still to learn but this is how I've come to understand things.

Thing is the works are impossible unless one is born again first. (John 3:3)Then by following the Holy Spirit one can walk with Jesus by abiding in Him, keeping His commandments, the Law of Christ, as Paul wrote. He is the vine we are His branches. Jesus said the works of believers are wrought in God. (John 3:21). "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him."(1John 2:3-5). As the Apostle Peter observed many people twist what Paul taught saying it's ok to just keep on sinning.

Your idea of disregarding the words of Paul and hundreds of years of protestant Christianity baffles me. This is how cults start. The thought that you're right and the vast majority of Christians are wrong is worrying. I know the issues the churches have today especially in Finland. I don't come across hyper Calvinism very often and as much as i disagree with it I would never cast aside the work of the Holy Spirit regarding regeneration for a works based faith.
