Your umbrella is *NOT* parabolic. Manufacturers deliberately are misusing that term, which describes a *specific* curve, to part those who were asleep in geometry class from their money. True parabolic reflectors (and they are reflectors, not shoot-throughs) are quite expensive, due to the precision required to manufacture them. A parabolic reflector is a collimator, not a diffuser.
