AWESOME MOVIE!!!! my dad was a Vietnam Vet and I remember renting the vhs at garden state video in bradley gardens USA in 1986-1987 and watching it with my dad... we fuckin loved it, and I remember reenacting the movie in central park with my cousin Jonathan in '88-'89

I composed the intro track from 0:00 to 1:05 when I worked at Tangerine Dream´s recording studio in the 80s. Great to see this movie now here on youtube. This music sequence was also used later in some scenes during the movie as a background track. I used this special Yamaha DX7 bass sound then... old times... Great times the eighties.. this movie, like first blood, is a critique on how veterans and their affairs are treated after wartime service.

and why are there so many edits that dilute the protagonists reasoning for his actions? it's a key point, that separates his motives from just a killing spree.

Tommy Lee Jones, its funny. I remember my nephews talking all exited about this movie so eventually i rented it and but i didn't like it.I was used to watch movies with Schwarzenegger and Stallone and found this character boring.Today i'm a big fan of Tommy Lee Jones so its funny to see he was the one playing that character.
