Wales: Especially as a Londoner, I know there's a lot of banter between England and Wales but frankly, Wales is the best part of the UK. So beautiful. If you want something similar in England you have to go to the shires where everyone is just snobby or north where everyone is just annoying. In Wales you can just chill and let your problems disappear and the locals just keep giving you new places to check out. Even Cardiff, the capital is so chilled out, it doesn't feel like a "city".

When people learn I'm from Newport 99% of the time they say "Oh, I've been there, I had to go there to sort my passport." Having grown up there I thought every large town had one but it was just Newport or London. there's one in Portsmouth as well now apparently. One time I was in a bar in the Caribbean and a Scots bloke I was talking to picked up on my now very slight accent. "Newport, I bought a car from there years back. Do you know Honest Ken's ?" Typical, travel halfway around the world and get chatting to a bloke who bought a car 10 minutes from where I was brought up.
