I think whispering is more difficult because it needs you to trust your listener confidently and sometimes even if they couldn't undrestand you due to their lack of attention, skills, knowladge or some sort of disability, whatever, you may think it's your issue. haha! but I guess recording and listening back to yourself is kinda a solution for this part (as you said before..)🌻

It definitely requires a level of trust, but we cant let fear stop us from expanding our abilities. Good as always to hear from you

Hey Jeff, I hope you're doing great. I have a question about your shadowing videos and Pitch. How we're supposed to pronounce the entire thought group when the arrow sign is either up or down at the beginning, at the middle and even at the end and the stress word it's in the middle.

hey there, hope you're finding them helpful! the arrows refer to the pitch level for each though group; an up arrow generally indicates the entire thought group will be higher than the previous thought group. A down arrow indicates the thought group will be lower than the previous thought group. this video goes more into the idea: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKDSY4iqls-Bg9U

@@FluentAmericanI'll try and make myself a lit bit clearer. ⬆️ "I didn't think you already HAVE gone there" The up arrow start at the beginning and the stress word drop on "HAVE" so the 2 words left can go up ever more than the stress word or we have to keep in a middle tone? I'm very confused on that part. I would really appreciate it if you can help me out.

@@GiancarlosClareslume-tr3yp gotcha (though feel free to let me know if I'm still misunderstanding) American English in general either goes up or down--it doesn't usually like when two syllables have the same pitch. The only syllable we tend to go up on in pitch is the stressed syllable of the stressed word. So if I have a sequence like "...HAVE gone there", I would expect "gone" to drop in pitch, then "there" to drop even lower

@@FluentAmerican you can go up and down on pitches no matter if the whole sentence is just a thought group? Because I thought it would be impossible unless you make two thought groups out of one thought group like the one I mentioned earlier " I didn't think you already HAVE gone there". How hard!!!😐
