A lot of people seem confused about what happened, myself included. So from what I gather- they're both long dead. However, the child refuses to show herself to her mother and tries to hide from her (I think it's a common belief that ghosts can choose who to show their selves to, and I guess this extends to other ghosts). The mother is one of those psychopath moms who believe they love their children even after murdering them. She convinces that psychic to come to her house so she can see/find her child.The psychic can see the distressed child, and realizes from what the mother is saying that she must have killed the child, and so refuses to help the mother. The mother kills her, and presumably, the screams/noise made neighbors call the police.

The music was moody, atmospheric, and sounded like what you would hear in a big budget movie. Very well done, whoever did the soundtrack.

Argh! Please, please, please! Add captions! It's too loud at times to wear headphones, but I can't hear the whispering without the volume cranked up!!! Half way through and I'm already on the edge of my seat!!! Soooo, freaking awesome!!!

I think I never get freak out by a short horror because some times they would go a little cheap on the atmosphere, the tension, etc. Not this. This short blew me away. I love the sound design and how much of it contributes to the plot in such a short amount of time. The pacing was on par with what I expected a good horror movie to be. I hope there will be an opportunity that comes your way because of this work. I'm excited to see where it takes you down the road!
