Aidan O'Brien has run 15 horses in the BC Classic. Most notably: Giant’s Causeway (2000) was beaten a neck by Tiznow, and Declaration of War (2013) was beaten a nose and a head by Will Take Charge and Mucho Macho Man. The BC Classic has been something of a holy grail for the lads at Ballydoyle going on 25 years, even trying their hand with Galileo. Now Aidan points "the best horse he's ever trained" towards it. Agreed that the workout was exactly what he had planned for him.

Nice video guys! Horse that impressed me in PA derby was Uncle Heavy. He looked regal + majestic on track in post parade + warmup. Broke outward with a slight stumble from 10 post leaving him in a bad spot. Minimum 4 wide both turns, started 2 cruise up late backstretch + took a coupla strides 2 switch leads in stretch b4 running outta gas. Curious what kinda Thorograph he earned in relation 2 others in field. Agree with everything u said Jon on Senor Buscador. Has ALWAYS been an interesting horse. I never question what the Japanese trainers do, the proof is in the pudding! Was actually very interested in the Japanese horse who finished 5th in the Kentucky Derby, T O Password, but I believe he's out with bone chips. Thanks again - interesting Monday diversion.

Grey did great imo, he finally got the rest he deserved. Solid horse, v proud of him,at the end of the day he refused to lose to some darn good horses.

The race with Next, he went off at 1-9, T.A. Went off at 1-9, look at the difference in payouts. The Cotillion exacta was a nice price. The odds on Gun Song was all over the place.

I am hearing that Next will probably run in the BC Turf, but not the Turf Classic. His fans are saying, this might be the last time we get good odds on him. I will be scrutinizing his competition.

Lost Win on 11 but had Ex 11 8 2 / 11 8 2 4. 7 probably beat 11 on the gallop out and was nervous at the wire .

That was an interesting analysis of Dragoon Guard. I watched all his races because I like Arrogate's descendants. He led in his other races. Now I am wondering, why didn't he go to the lead in this race? Maybe the trainer or jockey has an explanation.

I agree, and 100% he should have been on or near the lead, when Dragoon Guard failed to be on the pace, it changed the entire race, others failed to get out too, and the race was handed over to Seize The Gray, Stronghold was much the best in the race , by a wide margin if you consider all the fractions

I haven't found any interviews with anybody after the race to explain why Dragoon Guard didn't take the lead. Maybe this was the first time he had competition. Maybe he should have been put into Grade 1 races earlier, like Seize the Grey. He looks a bit green or lazy to me. Maybe the kickback bothered him -- he stepped sideways like he was dodging it. He had a chance to go forward, but he did not. He may just need schooling in 'going forward'. Maybe one of you guys can ask Brad Cox what's going on here.

Bc classic sleeper is the horse next . Hope he goes to the classic

@dnice8451 probally not. He cant run 110 111 112 at 6f and then close at 1mile and quarter. He's running 113 114 115 seconds at 6f then flying at end. And he wants 2 be close 2 lead. Can't do that in classic. But on grass at mile and half he's got plenty of time. But the grass horse are good. So he's up against it both ways. He a dirt horse. But there leaning towards the grass race cause of the distance. Gd luck.

City of Troy may move up on the dirt, but I think this bring us to an interesting debate about value, which I know Jon you don't pay much mind to nor should you given your track record. BUT…we all know looking at his sheets his races aren't going to be negative numbers, and the narrative around this year's BCC is that the division is weak. It's taken an average of a 2.5- to win the BCC since 1999 and this horse City of Troy is going to be one of the favorites in this race. Arthur's Ride, Fierceness, Ushba Tesoro, Senor Buscador, Next if he decides to go, these horses all have that ability. Even Idiomatic who won't take on the boys COULD take on the boys with a weight allowance and be a better bet than City of Troy stands to be. At something like 4-1, he's going to have to beat me.

All good points but like the Derby you can create value on any horse in the Classic. In a pick 5 or 6 if you like him enough to single and I am a long way from there at the moment but if you do there is nothing wrong with that value-wise.

I TRULY BELIEVE Thorpedo Anna 18:53 wasn't really asked for her best in Cotillion. Dont think she was fully extended. But I've been wrong many times

I agree also. Hernandez kept.looking over in late stages 2 make sure he had other horse measured. That said, doesn't mean she isn't tired at this stage. We'll c what happens in next 6 weeks.
