Great clip, I've got a ticket stub for the Pastels supported by The Vaselines in Brighton c1989 but have zero recollection of going. I think they must have realised the name of the show was awful and changed it to Transmission as it features the same two presenters (Pat Fish used to get on my nerves, one of those Creation artists who I never 'got', see also Momus, Ed Ball etc!).

@louiecostello What I mean is, the Nuggets you refer to. How is it easy? I discoveredthem, quite by accident, in the listening dept. of the main library in my city. I am a 1960s era enthusiast. I disagree with you, maybe that's been your experience. I have now, Domenic Priore's book that is the subject of Los Angeles' 60s rock scene and the names of bands of that era I have never heard of before that number over the thousands. Pastels? Influential? How so?

There was a single/12" version of this song that was absolutely brilliant. But yes, The Pastels generally really suck really really bad.
