If you explain to a kid why the greatest hitter in mlb history (Barry bonds) isn’t in the hall of fame, you’re giving them a life lesson about being an honest person. If Pete stayed out of the hall during the time he was on this planet, then putting him in only after his death seems wrong. If you’re spiritual or religious that’s fine, but imo that would mean they didn’t put him in until he couldn’t enjoy, celebrate, or even know he was in the hall and after he’s put in the league and sport will just use his image for their own benefit. I know it’s a sore subject but can we stop pretending that the next concussion he gets will make him a vegetable? Because we don’t know that, and that’s the part that confuses me most.
