Back in 2006 a friend of mine that owned a pet shop had one of these giant rodents. We sometimes wld take it for walks down the street with a leash. The looks we got from people were priceless. Such a strange lookin animal.

They are so cute, I saw one of these at the Toledo zoo. It didn’t look very happy. There was only 1. I wished so badly that it had a little buddy. It looked tired and frightened. These ones look much more healthy.
