This is actually such a brilliant idea to upcycle pieces of fabric!! I have always been fascinated with patchworks it's so wonderful what we can create with so little :) my grandma used to make these adorable blankets with different colors of yarn, she would crochet these tiny squares and it's amazing when she stitches them together :)

Your pincushion is lovely. I enjoy how you write and combine a craft project with your story. My first English paper piecing project was a pin cushion like yours. I learned how to do it from a KZbinr in Australia. You have given me an idea to write about my pincushion. Thanks

Hello Christine, that’s cool that we both started with the same first EPP projects - I learnt on You Tube as well (and from my mother). Yes do write about yours, writing little stories about the things you make are a lovely way to record the everyday things in life and appreciate them.

Thank you for watching:) English paper piecing is a fun process, and you only need small scraps of fabric. Plus, it's hand sewing so no sewing machine required either.

I have just checked the hexagon size is 5.4cm, measured from side to side.
