literally all you need is an adapter and you will never need a new mouse
@Shlappz6 ай бұрын
I actually do use a mouse from 1998. It has 2 side buttons like a modern mouse and a rubber scroll nub (not wheel). The ball adds weight and tactile feedback that makes it weirdly satisfying to use, and stops you from lifting the mouse off the desk. Only con is the low DPI requiring you to crank up the sensitivity to compensate. Also you need a PS/2 port on your PC or an adapter. TBH a modern gaming mouse is probably just as good, but I love old school tech, especially weird experimental stuff.
@smiller97066 ай бұрын
I honestly want to dust off my old roller ball but the adapters are so jank with how fast I can roll that sucker around in games. I had a desk ornament version we called big boy and it was the device that got me install kicked in cod/battlefeild and a few other fps online campaigns. Reason I dumped big boy and got a clicky mouse. Honestly you can use a Japanese gatshapon mouse toy from 2001 as a mouse. I used a FMA one for years. It's a mouse. Just plug it in and it will run. Forever mouse is the OG ball inside the hardware mouse. Like it still works! Same with trackers and lasers. Just plug it in!

There are three types of people buying mice. 1. People who just need a mouse. They almost universally buy the cheapest or second cheapest mouse available. (Usually logi) 2. The gamer/power user. They tend to buy the more expensive mice, often targeting a specific shape or number of programmable keys. 3. The specialist/marathon user. These users are being extremely active in their use of a mouse and often for a long period. As such they often choose a less traditional mouse, specifically they usually select an ergonomic mouse or one of the old style trackball mice. None of these need an expensive mouse with an ai chat bot hotkey.

Titan, previously called Cyclops 2, was a submersible created and operated by underwater exploration company OceanGate. It was the first privately-owned submersible with a claimed maximum depth of 4,000 m (13,000 ft),[2] and the first completed crewed submersible with a hull constructed of titanium and carbon fiber composite materials.[3] After testing with dives to its maximum intended depth in 2018 and 2019, the original composite hull of Titan developed fatigue damage and was replaced by 2021.[4][5] In that year, OceanGate began transporting paying customers to the wreck of the Titanic,[6][7] completing several dives to the wreck site in 2021 and 2022. During the submersible's first 2023 expedition, all five occupants were killed when the vessel imploded. OceanGate lost contact with Titan on 18 June and contacted authorities later that day after the submersible was overdue for return. A massive international search and rescue operation ensued and ended on 22 June, when debris from Titan was discovered about 1,600 feet (500 metres) from the bow of the Titanic.

@@Just-aGuy Fair, I'll change it. I was just thinking 2010 since there was still a fair amount of unique sites up but we still had popular social media sites like KZbin. Honestly though, I want to bring back the induvial webpage meta, KZbin definitely has too much of a monopoly on video sharing. I plan on making my own site to upload my videos to along side uploading to YT, a bit like AVGN.

I have a Theory since a while. I think, and i see it in a lot of Companys. If the Company is old enough it just drives against the wall. It is different on the Industry. In Tech this happens sooner than for example in production and stuff like that. If the Company is to old, the corrupt Company leaders who have no Idea what they are doing come in, or maybe the 2 or 3 generation of the dude who founded the Company comes (who has no idea what they are doing and just studyed some Vocational economics or shit like that) and the Company doesnt go forward but backward. Maybe the company goes to the Stock market and now has to produce numbers and doesnt focus on their core business. As said it takes longer (the Company gets older) with production type companys because you have to mess up REALLY REALLY bad in that industry but in Tech everything happens incredibly fast. Basically if the Company is old enough the person who founded it doesnt stand behind it anymore and people who have no idea run it into the ground.

It's essentially attempting to make things that are already good, better. For example making a fork slows you down if you eat too fast to prevent you from getting fat(this is a real product). Mouse is already perfect as it is, you can't make it even better by adding AI or by adding an LED screen that will tell you how many clicks your mouse had ever made or how far it had travelled
@Viper-yv8tw5 ай бұрын
No, there is always room for improvement. But this is simply not it. She just said some random bullshit to please the investors. If they actually surveyed the ones who use the mouse and concluded that this and that needed improvement, or that something can be done better, than they would actually make a big step forward...
