I was actually thinking of doing some audio books. I found a trove of bike touring accounts from the 1800s that are public domain and really interesting reads. I'd like to record them and release them as a podcast but I got scared off because some of the attitudes are a bit... 1800s and I don't want to get cancelled 😬 It might still happen though.

There's nothing more beautiful and fulfilling than just sitting still in the midst of nature, be it calm and silent or windy and noisy. Whichever way, it's always full of activity, whether you see/hear/feel it or not. As they say on a safari: you're lucky if you see 10% of what sees you. The feeling is amazing. Short and sweet Jethro. Blackberries by the road side saved my 85 miles ride through the Chilterns last week. This is my favourite poem of the moment. Leisure What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare. No time to stand beneath the boughs And stare as long as sheep or cows. No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. No time to see, in broad daylight, Streams full of stars, like skies at night. No time to turn at Beauty's glance, And watch her feet, how they can dance. No time to wait till her mouth can Enrich that smile her eyes began. A poor life this if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare. William Henry Davies, Welsh poet (1871-1940).

That, my friend, is what it’s all about! Being one with nature (and sometimes masonry) is what it’s all about. Also, Snickers bars.. They’re the best! Ps. This is the last time I’ll mention masonry. My cousins are over from Italy, i don't see them much. My cousin asked me how things were going, knowing deep down that my state of mind hasn't been great for 2 decades. I said ''Vin, i built the house and like everyone else, i felt that i needed to keep fighting the world and after a year of stressing looking for the next big thing, to keep up with the Jones' i stopped as i could see it was keeping me ill. I realised my fight is with myself. So i thought why not, just for once, just do the things i like and see how that goes.''
