Were you in Northern Finland very recently? I'm like 98% sure I saw you at Äkässaivo parking lot! At first I just paused to look at the Siberian jay at 0:50, then I was like hold up.. That background looks familiar.. Could also just be a similar looking place. But then the sweater seemed familiar too, then I saw the car, also similar.. But then at 5:28 I saw the hanger setup by the backwindow, and later the duct-taped rear light, and gopro mount to the front left, it has to be! 😃

@@MerlinFlexer What are the odds! 😀 Got home last Saturday and watched the Fin/Nor roadtrip with friends, then decided to watch this as well, and what do I find! I was with the Ford that was parked behind your car for 2 days, you might have seen or heard me take a swim in the lake too; I think I saw you taking some pics around that time. I'll have to subscribe so I won't miss the next parts! If you happened to get any shots or video with my car in them, please leave some in the final film so I can share it as a little easter egg with the family 😄 Depending on how North you might return, there are some really nice lake areas far north at Kilpisjärvi, or Muonio at bit lower. But like you've noticed, there are nice spots almost anywhere you stop! Looking forward to the next episodes 👍

My Great-Grandparents emigrated to USA, Wisconsin from Smaland. I was always told that they chose this part of NW Wisconsin because it was very similar to the landscape of Smaland and I can confirm that it truly is! Can you tell me if there is an actual town of Smaland nearby? I would love to see it! Because I am of Swedish descent, this felt very familiar to me, like home.

Thank you for your comment, Lorie. How nice that your ancestors came from Smaland. The biggest town in this area is Vimmerby. It is very close to the places shown in this video. Good luck looking it up!

The Kuckuck scream sometimes annoys me . When I’m out in the woods not . But when i try to sleep its over . Then i start to play other Kuckuck sounds really loud on my phone and sometimes it works he finally shuts up an i can get my sleep XD usually i love every bird sounds.anyway really nice video quality Merlin . And also some personal development. I feel that you less try to do everything perfect. Which is actually a good thing . Nature isn’t perfect so why should we ? If we are part of it .
