Very peaceful now among the peach trees. Loved that barn! Always appreciate your history lessons. It is very important we remember those before us. Thank you so much. :)

What an amazing job. You get to walk around and discovering the history of different places. You must have a love of history, as I do. Nicely done.

I did not have a paranormal experience at Gettysburg. I did have a strong almost oppressive feeling of sadness & horror

I completely understand what you are saying. Very much so. The weight of it. I get a lump in my throat, and an almost uncontrollable urge to weep. I've never told anybody...

Hi, such a beautiful peaceful place right now but you painted quite a vivid image of what it would have been like back then in the midst of the battle. Thank you for sharing this place with us. x

Hello from Texas, peach orchards are every in Texas. My Grandfather made the best peach cobbler!!! Yummy! where there are battles and death there are those feelings especially when their are thousand that died. Went to the Battle of Antietam there were so much of that. Beautiful place but you could only imagine the death that took place there. Be safe and enjoy! As always thanks for the great video, one Texas Gal!!!!

That main road is The Emmitsburg Road. One evening in May 2017, I was standing in the Peach Orchard. It was after dusk, and it was so quiet with nobody around. Not even any cars. All of a sudden I heard a loud boom. Possibly a firework, but I like to believe it was something else. God bless all the souls that were lost on that hallowed ground.

Gettysburg is a fascinating place to visit. Depending on how sensitive you are you may pick up the vibes of battles that took place there. Hence the feeling of the place being haunted. If you want to become more sensitive to past vibrations practice meditation.

The road at the west end of Wheatfield Road is the Emmitsburg Road. The Sherfy barn is the big red one just north on the left side of the Emmitsburg Road. Many troops of the 114th PA infantry (Collis's Zouaves) burned to death in that barn on July 2nd, 1863. It's supposedly very haunted. It stands right in the path of Barksdale's charge on that day.

Hi Cliff. There is a quilt store there that sells the wool used to make the reinactors uniforms. The one owner said they pay a lot of money for this fabric to roll in the mud. They have aisles and aisles of fabric from that time; all recreated of course.

My grandfather fought in Gettysburg,Antietam, the Battle of Balls' Bluff,Kansas -Missouri border war and a few others and hardly lost a single guy in his unit. His name was Lt.Col.Elijah Veirs White. He had a special unit called Whites' Comanches because of the battle cries they would let out while raidin' the yankees camps. If you go to Poolesville Md there is a ferry service he used to operate called Whites' Ferry and the boat is named after his friend and commander Jubal A.Early.That whole side of my family has such a long history in Maryland and Virginia all the way back to early 1600s.Elijahs' grandfather many times over was a sheriff for Lord Calvert one of the founding fathers of Maryland province before it was a state. There's alot of history with the White family.

I was married in Gettysburg at a church that was a Confederate field hospital and went on to the Cashtown Inn for the reception. This was a few days after some ghost show filmed at the inn. I spoke with the owner and he told me they needed a show and he got publicity and gave one of those little grins lol.

I do agree with your comment on being Bias depending on what side of the war a person is from. What we seem to forget is brothers and fathers and sons fought against each other on opposite sides. I have ancestors from New England all the way down through Florida. I was born in Sparta, North Carolina but I have lived in Florida for many years, they have the Battle of Olustee a few miles from my house maybe you can check it out when you come out this way in the future.
