🙏This performance took place in the final phase of the “virtuosos talent show”. Dimash was part of the jury as well as Placido Domingo (83 years old, one of the best tenors in the world whom Dimash has always admired). This was a dream come true for Dimash. He shared that, at the age of 5, he had a VHS of a concert from Maestro Domingo. From that day to now, he had a dream to meet and work with the Maestro. This was performed as part of the Virtuosos competition to support young classical artists. I know Dimash appreciated the opportunity to be part of the jury at the invitation of the Maestro. We are so proud of him and hope all his dreams come true.

Dimash is a trained opera singer! Placido Domingo is THE world wide known tenor , 83 yrs old. This is a dream come true for him to not only meet Placido, but to sing with him. Virtuosos is a tv show out of Budapest. The taping was done in December 2023. Dimash is a guest jury member (what i would call judges). From what i read Placido invited Dimash to the show after learning about him from his grandson. The video where Dimash meets Maestro Domingo is quite adorable, both how excited the Maestro is and how pleased/embarassed/shy Dimash looked.

Many bel canto teachers have verified that Dimash brings a cross interpretation between rigid classical singing (which must follow norms and exactly as the author of the piece wrote, from the notes and durations, the portamentos, the expressiveness... Everything) and much more popular flexibility. For purists, let's remember that Dimash had the dream of singing with Plácido Domingos since he was a child and it was the Maestro himself, Don Domingos, who suggested the duet (he knew that even with classical training, Dimash would sing as a cross between classical and pop )! Dimash only had one day to remember the work and make the recording, as this moment is part of the competition (like a talent show) for children with musical talent: The “Virtuosos”! Dimash, as well as Placido Domingos, were part of the Jury, accompanied by Erika Miklósa (opera singer), Adrás Keller (violinist, conductor and musical director of the Budapest Concert), Hauser (cellist), Plácido Domingos Jr. composer), Pablo Sanz Villegas (classical guitarist), Gabriela Rachid (cultural director) and Harvey Goldsmith (music promoter)!
