Bud Carter was the MASTER of the Steel Guitar, NO DOUBT, So what ever Bud told you , you could take to the bank.........He built my first REAL PEDAL STEEL and I still play it today, and I have owned many other steels, Most all of them and found that any steel that he laid his hands on it was going to be a keeper! RIP , John and Bud built a great guitar and was a great company, I miss both of them and I really miss Bud , because he could answer any of my questions.......RIP guys.

I've played traditional 6 string guitars for 35 years.. him: If you can play a normal guitar you know everything you need to know to play a pedal steel guitar 😊 me after watching 10 minutes: YOU LIE!

But its huge help. You know all the scales and keys and chords and which chords are each key. Of course the scales are all different but still you have ears. I’ve played guitars for 14 years and i am going to buy a steel maybe next week. RIP under 3000€.. I would say that dont touch the steel if you cant play anything.

Yeah 10 Strings isn't too many cause they're tuned to an E9 Chord. Pedal Steel Guitars are tuned to a Chord.

I have one of those! But my e to e flat KL is stiff and hard to press...any idea for a quick fix?

You'uns just move too fast fer me! Please review slowly the G scale. Count with me...1 is G 2 is...ah....?... b ...then I done fergot what the 3rd note was...dang me! That'll learn me! Now...back to that pedal guitar...
