Hi Justin. I was looking for a small board last week and I stumbled across this XPND.. I knew "expandable" was a thing because my big board is a Holeyboard 123, but I wanted to make a small "micro" board, and with my "pedal addiction", I knew expandable was the way to go. I received it on 3/1 and it is exactly what I needed/wanted. As for the power supply not fitting underneath, my plan for now it to add some velcro to the back side of the back rail and just stick my current supply on like that for now. It will not be underneath, but it will be attached. The Cioks looks like a perfect fit, can't wait for your video update to see how it works. For those doubting expandable...don't. Pedals are an addiction and you will be thankful you can just add another on when your next one comes in the mail.

26:30 LOL I was talking to the screen13 minutes beforehand saying "see if the feet pads will adjust higher to allow the power supply to fit". That along with wanting to call Ziggy to give her a head scratch.🐕 Looks like a handy tool for your purposes. Cool video, I hope you get the power supply sorted.👍

I think maybe it depends on if you want to keep the board raised with the feet to fit the Generator. I didn't see any good measurements posted for the underside of the board without the feet included, but it looks like you can raise the board a fair bit. If you want the board flat maybe Cioks or Voodoo Labs is the way to go. I'm just sad this board isn't deep enough for the Boss Wireless Expression Pedal and the bigger one is just huge.
@justinguitar2 жыл бұрын
The Cioks also slightly too big - mine just arrived and tried it on, close, but not quite!

Your mechanical skills are to admired. I personally have enough assembly Allen wrenches laying around to construct a main battle tank. I assume “made l in China with USA “design”.

@@andyk.5771 Thanks Andy, in the end I got the Pedaltrain Nano board with the Truetone 1 SPOT Pro CS^ low profile power supply as I didn't think I'd need the expandability of the XPND board.

my pedal board is very simple now, it's a Boss super overdrive (opt) / 1 Rat / 1 Line M9 / Sometime the Boss RC3 I would love this kind of small pdelaboard, but finding a good power tank, ideally rechargeable with Lithium is more important I was looking at something like the ROckboard for exemple But the M9 is 2A (!!) 9V ... It seems I can't find anything higher than 500/800mA 9V out there V_V

Unless you’re a player who uses only 3 - 4 pedals, it’s just too small to start. It would be more useful were it a medium to full size board with an expandable row on the side (to add on a few occasional extras). Having an all-in-one stomp box (GT-1000) is the only way this setup is viable. Too small for me, but I guess it might be useful to some.

@@SOLIDO-PS It's not a review.
@justinguitar2 жыл бұрын
Why is it not a review? I'm not the guy that says stuff is cool if I don't dig something, in fact - I rarely do product reviews because frankly I can't be bothered making videos about stuff I don't like!! If they sent me the board and I didn't like it - there would not have been a video!!
@colaboytje2 жыл бұрын
@@justinguitar Because the guidelines for reviews say that the review can't be paid for. That is all I meant. And you say something weird at the end: if I didn't like it, there wouldn't be a video. Well the point of a review is not to like it, but to review as is, even if you don't like it.
@JustinGuitarSongs2 жыл бұрын
@@colaboytje Get what you mean, but I get asked to review stuff every day - seriously. All the time people wanna pay me to sell their crap. But I only review things I like because I don't have time to waste on crap! :) but I also point out things I don't like in the rare reviews I bother with.

I would never buy this. I’m tired of factories outsourcing assembly labor to the paying customers. Next it will be amplifiers and guitars. I blame IKEA
@rzh34432 жыл бұрын
Yes, for 100 bucks and a little more cardboard that should have been the case, but every square inch counts on a container ship. I suspect that product costs less than 10 bucks to make at the factory. I suspect we will eventually cook our own meals at many restaurants.
@justinguitar2 жыл бұрын
took less than 10 mins, not really a big deal is it? Not sure why it didn't come assembled but wasn't a huge hassle!
