crazy how fast narratives change though. in the pelicans defense, if we were talking about this before last season the real question would be is if zion is failing the pelicans, lol. i can't name more than like 5 stretch bigs that are attainable or even like 10 that genuinely exist lol, at least in the way you want. everything else tho i agree that the front office moves are weird the ceiling in a lot of ways rests in zion's ability to improve, which i think he will with him seemingly seeking to be more in shape than in years past

I 100% agree like it seems obvious but yeah zion is the whole thing, is it "worth it" to even keep trying? like last szn he played most of the games but wasn't even superstar quality. Very good but not insanely dominant or even anything close. I appreciate the comment!

They're in a tough position because even if they did want to get rid of Zion, his value isn't nearly as high as it used to be & in order for him to drive his value back up, he'd have to have an injury-free season that had him boarding top 10 territory; and in that case, it'd be hard to convince the fanbase to accept that.
