This first episode exceeded my expectations, and that is hard to do. I thought it would be decent, but I just moved Penguin to the top of my must watch shows every week. Shout to the casting directors they did a phenomenal job 👏🏾

I had pretty much given up on DC in general. Friends had to coax me into watching the first episode of The Penguin. Afterward, I was the one coaxing them into watching again. I loved it. No condescending dialogue for idiots. No broad characterization. No empty promises of lore connections to come. It was just fascinatingly executed, and I'm on board.

Great first episode, I love how grounded this series seems to be. No Batman, but the street hand to hand dealers and mob boss moves. I’m hoping for a great season, off to a great start!

Vic: I have to see what his home life is about. His street crew doesn't seem to be about much and he's got better oportunities to earn with Oz. I think the more Oz trusts him, the less he'll worry about a death threat hanging over him. Oz should worry whether Sophia can get any info out of Vic.

The crazy thing you didn’t mention. Sofia’s brother kept the good side of her but now that he’s dead oz unleashed the other side of Sofia who I think is going to kill everyone

Seeing this this show is wonderful cause Penguin is such a great character. thats being said i do want to put out a theory that the court of owls or pulling strings to ensure that their new appointy of crime makes it to the too and for now i dont think its Cobblepot my money on Marione mostly caue the court is the kind of organization to always have a back up and Marione is the kinda of leader to keep the status quo

@@leonarddement3432 in the comics. Cause in the Long Halloween maybe even Dark Victory i was suggested that Falcone was her father but how interesting would it be of Catwoman and Penguin were siblings

@@ionicreviews Ummmm, no. ew. first of all, Falcone obviously lied about her mother because he killed her and didn't admit it until he tried to kill Selina. So of course he probably had her father set up to go to Blackgate. The new 52 is where Rex came from. she even went to see him in prison and beat the shit out of him
