I love this show more than the movie... also they fixed that lighting I mentioned on a previous....half way through each episode has so much rewatch value .....this is sopranos on steroids 💉

This show is gripping me, this is so far my favourite episode really and im someone who usually disfavours backstory type episodes where the plot is flipped like that, but sofias character had me intrigued before and its just given her so much more depth and you can really sympathise with her, the way they represent arkham and her mental stability just continuing to break in this episode was so visceral and genuinely really shook me. And the ending was just beautiful I just turned to my mum who i was watching with after the episode and just said “holy shit this is what tv should feel like”

I love Cristin Milioti, and hope she gets an Emmy for this one. Loved her in Palm Springs and Made for Love, and Sofia Falcone is my favorite character on The Penguin -- top notch writing and performance!

Mark strog felt just like a young falcone from the batman film. Loved his performance with the glasses when sophia tries to take them off.

Though Alberto wasn’t the brightest of the bunch, I think Sofia was right when she alluded to him seeing another side of their Father. Al being in the party scene and considering that it was most likely his birthright to be the successor, I can imagine him being aware of things and keeping those secrets.

8:43 While I don’t know what it’s like to have your family trying to get you locked up, I know what it’s like to live your life as a very young person and have someone throwing a false allegation your way for self gain and everything taking a turn out of nowhere. I was looking at 10-25 years if the accuser won. Thankfully my family are good people who backed me, and the accuser was a moron who eventually confessed, but it was a horrifying experience, to say the least. The whole “hey, I’m your friend, talk to me”, thing, while your honest words get twisted to make you look guilty is something investigators do as well, it’s very accurate.

Reminds of this thing I heard, “even if you’re sane, the more you try to prove it or state it, the more insane you start sounding”. Once someone wants to see you as insane (or guilty) you’re not really changing that.

@@NakulKrishna Exactly, and once you realize that as it’s happening, you yourself start to question your own innocence or sanity as you say what you’re saying. I was legitimately questioning whether I was guilty or not due to how I was treated, despite knowing full well I wasn’t. It’s interesting how the mind works.

I don't think that Oz knew that she'd be arrested, and definitely didn't know that she was going to Arkham. Oz is ruthless, but he's yet to show cruelty. He doesn't go out of his way to hurt people to kick rocks. It has to serve a purpose. If he was going to move up in the mafia, Sofia being around only benefits him. She's the nicest one to him (tho, she clearly showed that she doesn't truly care for him when she snapped at him for rightfully being concerned). The fact that her family fucking sold her out LIKE THAT was insane. They're way worse than anything we've seen Oz do by leaps and bounds. Also.... Thomas Wayne saved the life of THAT MAN? He had to have known something.

Sophia might end up still working with Oz, she is a villain too make no mistake loyalty is a gun. Her own father betrayed her Oz is no different than family also Oz doesn't want to run just one family. He wants to run them all. I think he'd let her run hers if she showed him she understood his twisted thinking. "Eh you get what you want, you get your f***ed up family and I keep the others off you. Just keep the Bliss coming btw Vic's gonna be running that now"

I don’t know if Penguin knew about Kenzie, or talked to him, but we do know for a fact that Kenzie casually hangs around at Oz’s club later on. So either they were in on it before or they definitely got better acquainted afterwards.

This was an awesome episode and Sophia is such a killer actress! Altho i didn't care for magpie. I felt her infant voice was a bit of overacting and the magpie from beware the batman was much cooler with a similar devastating backstory. Plus Grey DeLisle is an icon in voice acting

6:56 Oz is a snake no doubt, but I don’t think he intended for THIS to happen. I think he genuinely cared for Sofia, but it meant more to get into Falcone’s good graces so he’d be promoted from just a “driver.” Even if that meant selling out Sofia. But again, I’m sure he didn’t think it would lead to her being sent to Arkham.

Carmine died too easy. Stupid riddler letting him off way too easy. This episode was disturbing to say the least, but what a way to show us just how truly unhinged Sofia is and WHY. Absolutely loved this episode and that insight into WTF happens in Arkham. I was uncomfortable almost all through this episode. These guys seriously fundamentally understand Gotham and the Batman. Oz is f**ked lol, it’s going to be so interesting to see where this goes.

Wow can’t believe how good this episode was, best one yet! And Penguin was barely in it 😅. I can’t believe Penguin ratted her out to her dad…. I mean they make it kind of obvious that Penguin is a snitchy douche bag anyway… And what Sofia went through literally got me so mad and gave me freakin anxiety 😂. Amazing acting and plot in this episode 10/10.

Bait and switch. Surprised me they took so long to switch a male character out with the female for the role. The whole episode was her floundering about while pointing out feminist talking points. If they didn't drive home the reality of DEI interjections this episode to let you know that nothing has gone untouched by their grubby ideals rather than writing something worth watching, I dont know what else it will take. I think people are so use to the poison they gulp it down and accept the long term eventuality of brain cancer.
