The Penultimate Day | Journey SFSD | Part 6

Fatigue and early signs of knee pain began creeping in today. I've noticed the amount of video footage I take goes down as I get more and more tired on the bike! Was stuck under the classic SoCal marine layer almost all day, which kept my head down and focused on riding the 105 miles I had planned. Almost to San Diego!
Note: The thumbnail photo is an actual sign I passed near Palo Verdes, which I found particulary delightful. The road is very undulating in a short section, hence the warning sign.

The coastline right after the Missile Park is just so awesome. I got a huge tailwind in that section on my ride and it felt like I was flying.

I agree, that section is awesome, especially if you can get good weather! I don't think I had much tailwind that day, but I have in the past.

Wow! You're doing some long rides!! Despite the cloudy weather it's easy to see how beautiful it is on that section of the coastline. Huntingdon Beach looked amazing and I bet was worth the whole day's ride and effort. Looking forward to the final day's ride. Please forgive me but I couldn't help laughing out loud at the beginning of the video when you showed us your breakfast. Good grief!! Take care. JP
