The period without a timer existed because of capture card's sound issues when LiveSplit was on. Those have been fixed one way or another, so the timer should stay for the more difficult hacks.

The soundtrack is interesting and unique for sure, but it’s even more so effective at adding confusion to an already difficult hack to make you feel like you’re in a surreal world. I feel like the level names only add to that feeling. This hack was definitely crafted with care.

It’s surprising to find out how much people hate this ost, it’s one of my favorite hack osts honestly. Seeing the amount of people hating this ost made me realize how many people hate experimental ambient music. In all fairness tho some of the songs are way too repetitive but I actually like a lot of the songs in this hack. Edit: To be honest the ice level music is really out of place and weird for a kaizo hack and that breathing would get REALLY annoying after a while, but I really like every other song in the hack.

This music sounds exactly like a meth+alcohol+caffeine fueled fever dream feels like when you're lethally past exhaustion and you're wondering if the repeating circles in your mind will end in death or sleep if you let go. I very much appreciate the insert of music that _is_ allowed by the Geneva Convention into the ice level that makes the level seem fun to play. I hope there will be more such edits. I’ve never heard chiptunes used as a game’s soundtrack, even though I’ve considered using them as my own bgm on youtube videos. Something about how awesome and emotional and thought invoking they can be, but you only hear em when you’re running very sketchy apps and as soon as you have what you need you close the app as fast as you can like you’re ‘minimizing damage’ in case it’s a virus (which is ridiculous). But the whole point is chiptunes just feel like they’re naturally heard only in small bursts that really stick with you, and yeah you can download them for personal listening but it’s effort i assume most don’t put in. So it’s refreshing to hear some of them full length in a videogame.
