Very beautiful people, I'v been Himachal Pradesh many times, they really are very beautiful people. Despite being next to Punjab and Kashmir they still remained Hindu! Kashmir and Punjab region is predominantly Muslim, yet Himachal Pradesh remained Hindu. How did they manage to escape Islam and the invasions? I'm guessing the Mughals and other invaders didn't have a strong hold in Himachal ?

@yitzhak rafaeli shekkelsteingoldmanberg No dude its not the case...in india People think most punjabis are Sikh although its not...Most punjabi hindus live outside Punjab and good amount of them don't even speak punjabi... That's the main problem

Hindu Punjabis don't really associate themselves with Punjab or Punjabi culture. Most Hindu Punjabis who live outside of Punjab adopt the culture of the state or city they live in. Many marry non-Punjabis as well.

U mad , even half kashmiri by ethnicity were hindus ( kashmiri pandits) And india punjab is dominantly sikh and hindu , Im including haryana also in pubjab

Nuristanis have different facial features. These people are somewhat similar to the pahari community of j&k. And an average nuristani looks fearer than even an average dardic person..

They look like a Punjabi and Uttarakhandi mix. 😅 Not saying they aren’t there own people just that they just seem Culturally and Linguistically like Uttarakhandi and Punjabi mix. Which in my opinion makes them the coolest or AT LEAST second coolest ethnic group in South Asia.

In Border areas of Lahul Spitti and Kinnauri had mixed mongoloid ppl but they are majorily either SC or ST people. But Majority of Himachali especially in middle Himachal and lower himachal are Caucasian Type and look very much like Their neighbouring Jammu and kashmiri people.
