she does not have lovely hair in real life… her hair is very curly and thin and stringy… look up old photos of her. she always wears a wig. and she will not spend more than 15 minutes in the chair (i know this from friends who’ve worked on set with her) which is why her wig looks terrible

Love the looks in the show. Sent me looking for the costume designer. Please mention her name in captions, title and transcript. She deserves all the credit. She does mention her name in first scene, but this is very quick and hard to grasp. Not putting her name in searchable fields is an oversight. Great work. Fav looks: seaweed dress, Greer's rose silk blouse with big flowy bow and Tag's glasses.

Loved Greer”s outfits and Tag”s blue linen shirts. Yes Merritt looked great in the string dress but felt the dress was disrespectfully revealing for the occasion and would have not appreciated my maid of honor wearing this as a guest to my rehearsal dinner.

A lot of the costuming made no sense. Sorry, Greer does not look like Nantucket old money, she looks more like Texas (no offense to Texans). The character is supposed to be British and maybe she was dressed for England. It was 4th of July and she is always in long sleeves buttoned up, blazers and sweaters....no. Amelia doesn't have a lot of money and "doesn't care about clothes", but she can afford Dolce and Gabbana and Carolina Herrera dresses. Even vintage these would be expensive.

I initially thought the same thing about Amelia's looks, however, if you think about it - if you're marrying into a wealthy family like the one she was, it is likely that for the purpose of these special festivities, her fiancee could've paid for them or she splurged because they're special dresses for special occasions. I don't think they clarify whether or not she has a lot of money or not, it is just emphasized that she isn't from THAT kind of money, which you can have money for D&G without being as rich as this family.

I completely agree about how Amelia was dressed. I pictured her being more down to earth and having an especially close relationship with her family which to me, read as more modest. I wouldn't think she would wear a matching silk night set. I would picture her more as like a t-shirt and a pair of shorts kind of girl

She’s not implying Amelia wears these brands, designers use branded pieces all the time, even for characters that aren’t supposed to be rich, they only use recognisable pieces when they want to express the character is wearing a famous brand, otherwise is just something in their arsenal
