Growing up as a kid we had very little. So when I saw those potato chips, I knew exactly where it was going! We only had bread and bologna though. Every once in a blue moon we might've had mustard or miracle whip. Honestly though, a plain bologna sandwich with crushed chips was a godsend!!!! Really brought back some great memories watching this. I'm about to try my first ever fried bologna sandwich and can't wait! Thanks for the great content!! 👍

Oh my goodness I wish my husband was still here just for this. You would be his hero. Fried baloney sandwiches. He was raised in Kentucky on fried baloney sandwiches. He fussed at me for 25 years for doing it all wrong. So after 25 years of practice the next 25 years I did a better job. He never put anything on it except miracle whip and in the summer, he put sliced home-grown tomatoes on it. Thank you. This made my day.

I lived off of fried baloney and friend ham sandwiches nearly every day for a month and a half after I was laid off in May. I would keep adding and changing up ingredients to make it different every time. Even though I was stressed as hell during that span, I'd constantly look forward to the lunch and supper hours. Cooking would take my mind off of things for a short while.

It's very similar to how I make mine. I use kraft mayo and toast my Light bread a little cause all that juicy stuff tears up the bread. And I only use German beef bologna from Walmart deli cut thick as they will cut it. I put a fried egg.american cheese. tomato and sauteed onions also. And some black pepper. Sometimes a little garlic powder and I use unsalted butter too @@LarryDixon-photographer

When I was little, my oldest brother (RIP) would make these for us when he was babysitting us. Years ago I went up to northern British Columbia to work in a small town called Bella Coola, Just kinda near the tip of the Alaska pan handle. Population, just over 2000 people.Folks there called it Bella Coola round steak, and apparently they really liked it! Was working in the grocery store and we were going to put bologna by the piece ( 5 lbs each ) on sale. When the product arrived, there was a whole pallet of it. Why so much I asked, watch what happens I was told. The following week the sale started, we cleared a large section of the meat case and filled it with boxes of bologna 2 pieces to the box. It was insane, folks were buying it 2 - 6 boxes at a time. More arrived mid week and on the last day of the sale there was none left! I couldn't believe it.
