You can, most of the additional ingredients you see are either emulsifiers, ph balancers or preservatives. They're very normal. Every stable product, including the products he's saying you should use have these. (especially preservatives) In this case the products he's recommending just don't list them.

I have very coarse hair as I mentioned in my last comment. But, my question is; how often should you wash and condition your hair in a week. In a 7 day week Monday - Sunday. I say that because some people look at the week as being 5 days. Monday - Friday. And lastly, how often should you do a Wash & Style during a 7 day week? Much help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ummm to each it’s own youngin…lol. My waves been silky and shiny with my same regimen ! I shower brush let water completely soak my hair then out th shower I use natural oils like jojoba and castor oils. I may finish off with a definition cream or Shea butter then I rag up with boo boo cap for compression!! Simple!! My hair stays moisturized! I kinda understood why he said no water but then again this can be bad advice because once your hair is wet it’s easier to maneuver!! Once you put your products in, you rag up immediately you don’t wait for your hair to dry up without your durag

have you checked the ingredients on that “as I am” product you use ? It’s not really all natural. Quite a bit of its chemicals aren’t natural. Not trying to call you out, just letting you know.
