I came on to comment the same thing. I've let the hat films ignorance go on for many episodes without commenting but can contain it no more. I bet people have commented on this before. It's a classic worms mechanic. take damage you end your go, even if you have shots left.

All the "safe teleport" does is give you the retreat time to move after teleporting. The only practical uses of this are to walk into a building, get into a vehicle, or set off a mine and get away from it. I don't get why someone in chat would feed them misinformation like "it teleports a random worm" but given the weird culture of only relying on rumor and experimentation to learn Worms I suppose it is possible that whoever made it up believes it.
