I believe everyone has their own liking when it comes to family size. I have never lived in a joint family except for when we go for vacations back in India, so I know that joint is not preference. But I have many friends who live in joint family and they do well and some don’t. Same goes with nuclear family or any other type. The important thing is that with whoever we live, we should live with love. Yes there would be fights, troubles and all those stuffs but with love anything can be conquered.

As a member of a bengali zamindar joint family I can assure it is the worst thing to ever happen to me. I respect my elders but they're the worst they gossip and fight with everyone. My uncles fight about zamins, gold, and of course money. Cousins are even worse they only want my things. But I accept that my family is especially large, in total we are 50 members living under the same roof. Being zamindar is another pain. And because of all this family is breaking this year and my heart is breaking too. All years I thought it would be better if we all live separately but i'm not ready to live in a flat only with parents and I don't even have a sibling. My joint family's house is just ot only a house but a memory album. It's tough but it's the best. I wish I could turn back time and enjoy my family once again
