Send me the recipe?? Please!!
@jessicah34502 жыл бұрын
That sounds so good, like eggplant parmesan married lasagna 😍
@lucindab36112 жыл бұрын
@@MOI-qq8zc sure. Here’s my best try, don’t normally do “recipes” just add things until the souls of my ancestors tell me it’s good. 😉 First you need to make a good sauce, preferably scratch made & home grown: first brown your ground meat (a mix of beef & pork or whatever you prefer, I love it with ground chicken thighs) add a little wine & scrape up the bits of flavor; stir in tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil, oregano, bay leaves, s&p to taste, and hot pepper flakes if you like. Cook it down low & slow 2 hours or longer for as thick as you prefer. Layer sauce in lasagna pan first, then noodles, more sauce and sliced, browned Italian sausage, noodles again, a layer of GOOD ricotta (or cream cheese mixed with a bit of sauce, as my brother prefers) mixed with an egg, some parmigiana and chopped parsley, then more noodles, sauce, a layer of fried eggplant [peel, slice, salt, drain, squeeze, batter, and fry crisp in olive oil (also good with zucchini, cucuzza or mirliton instead of eggplant)] another layer of noodles, finally sauce, mozzarella and pecorino cheese on top. Cover w oiled foil & bake about 45 minutes (or longer if she’s thiccc), uncover to brown well about 15 more minutes. Tips: 1- Let it cool before trying to cut or you’ll get a mess instead of squares, 2- substitutions are great, 3- for a variation add spinach or arugula to the ricotta, 4- OR try alternating layers of pesto and bechamel (white sauce) instead of your tomato sauce and use artichoke hearts instead of the eggplant, 5- no matter how you do it’s better the next day, 6- and it freezes/reheats very well. Hope you enjoy!

Yes. That’s the way I do it too. Trisha, the longer you let it sit and cool the more it will set up. If you like more cheese and noodle then do each layer separately. 1 layer meat, 2nd cheese, 3rd meat, 4th cheese and so on. My family loves a more cheese and noodle lasagna so that's how I do it. Totally try it.

@@jessicah3450 It’s amaze balls! It’s my homemade version of the stouffers veg lasagna. And of course add spices and whatever other veggies you want. Lower the flame when cooking the chopped meat. Cook it until all the pink is out of the meat. You can put the lasagna into a bath of cool water once done cooking to Al dente. This decreases the chance of them sticking together. Try some pecorino Romano cheese and mozzarella in the ricotta. Enjoy your beautiful meal. It looks great!!! God bless you and your baby.
