As we get older, staying trendy can become difficult. With styles going from hot to not seemingly overnight, keeping up with what's hip is too much hassle. While this certainly applies to clothing trends, the same can also be said of hairstyles.
Many older women tend to shy away from the more out-there trends. Pastel hair colors and buzz-cuts are usually left to younger women, while mature women prefer shorter hair lengths for easy maintenance. That being said, older women don’t have to say goodbye to long hair so soon.

Dead right lady You're my kind of woman. You know want ? Once a student asked me to her house for dinner. Before that she said get a woman to do your hair. I thought she was telling me to. When I arrived she had a woman to blow dry my curly hair straight and put make up on while her friends watched. Why did I let her do it I don't know myself. Its very insulting as they didn't do it to any one else.

I 100% agree. I'm 65, and I decided about 15 years ago that I would not do what a lot of women do, which is cut my hair short as I got older! I did the other way round! I had a pixie hair cut until I was about 35/40, then I had a bob for 10 years or so, and now I have silver hair all the way down the middle of my back! I use what is called a blue magnesium shampoo, which gives my hair a slight purple colour, which I love. And as a bonus, a lot of people give me positive comments! So 😊😊😊😊

If you use a shoulder bag, you risk getting your hair ripped out on the side you have the purse strap. That's why I keep mine shorter now. It also looks a little thicker, and I have less trouble keeping it out of the foods at buffets.
