The reason your damage felt so bad was because everytime you procced failure after the buff wore off it reset your stats back down to base almond milk for some reason, you can see it at 17:18 after going through the curse room and then in the Satan fight.

Yeah, but for some reason it'd reset your stats to how they should be with your items included every floor. Kinda interesting even if unintentional, its like you fail (get hit) and you cry lots cuz you got an F, then you are punished and get base stats BUT you get to retake the exam every floor

Or and now here me out it is apart of failure because his stats reset back to normal on the next floor so maybe for the hit for the rest of the floor(unless he gets hit again and gets the affect) he reverts back to base stats Probably not though and just a glitch

everytime you get hit with failure your tears+damage go all the way down to base stats+almond milk, the items you had before you picked up failure. Probably a bug but kind of interesting

He was a great member of the mattman community, and it sucks to lose him, at the time my friend had died, and i really was hoping that his friends didnt have to go through the same thing.
