Welcome to Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries DLC "Rise of Rasalhague" playthrough. I will cover the whole gameplay experience, storyline, game mechanics and new Battlemechs that will come with the addon. The biggest parts of the new DLC are a whole new mini storyline that consist of 12 unique missions, the new Crusader Mech and some new gameplay mechanics that involve competing mercenary companies. Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries is a game about stompy Mech action. You take command of a mercenary company and try to grow your income, salvage Mechs and hire Mechwarriors. The game includes a campaign with a vast storyline.

The gameplay of Mechwarrior 5 is split in two different parts. On the one hand you will have to manage your resources, hire new crew members, outfit your Mechs and travel through the Inner Sphere star map. But the action starts as soon as you get into the cockpit of your Battlemech yourself to fulfill contracts on the battlefield to earn more C-Bills and progress the story. I will review the weapon systems, battlemechs, show you how to build the loadouts and train your pilots and take a look at all the different mission types and upgrades of the MW5 Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC.

I think, for the NPC AI, Stealth Armor just massively decreases your aggression or whatever as well as reducing their accuracy against you, so they either ignore if other targets are near, or take forever to line up a shot if not - thus looking like they are "ignoring you" even when in their face. Like the spiders were shooting at you, but couldn't much hit.

No reason to "think" (you meant fantasizing? hehe) something unproven together. On their -repository "yaml-docs" , in "yaml-quirksmd" they state: Stealth Armor The Mech carries a Stealth Armor system, which allows it to reduce its radar signature and makes the 'Mech harder to target. Chance to completely avoid incoming fire: 25.0 % Quirk name: STEALTH_ARMOR No mention of "aggression" or anything, which in a philosophical view(no, better mathematical, hehe) ... would be the same as a hit/agression-chance. So just a chance to hit quirk. That's it. Next time you can look it up yourself. No need to dive into the source code ... which you could, if have too much free time and you want, to:) I wish you much undetected action in your game (which we know now is the wrong interpretation ... but who cares, hehehe), Mechwarrior Thompson! DFA is a valid tactic in MW5. Several times I have taken damage from enemy mechs landing on mine. It counts as a physical attack just Darn hard to pull off.

I think you missed a FCS that helped with PPCs. Check out the Energy ones.

Energy ones are general, but there are actually specific PPC ones that are comparatively insane. Like there is a general ballistic one but also ones for ACs and Gauss.

The Horito Direwolf is a Battle Mech you can modify it. I have 2 that I have put Black Carapace armor on.

I'm so glad I got the Shush Ryana. She gets on my nerves, especially trying to tell me how to run my Lance on the ground while she is in space and telling them to go weapons free when I don't want them to, even though I know they obey me. She just bugs the crap out of me and evidently a lot of others too.

Forgot to mention keep an eye out for rotary PPCs they super fun but very hot you'll probably need a radical or proto kit to get the most out of them.

Every play through of BT anything you keep a sh** load of salvage, which requires upkeep. The only way I might run my company differently. You opened my eyes to LRM spam's beauty. Best strat, with C3 tag. Period. Couldn't out dps it with all the indirect fire Artemis. When indirect is basically direct fire, LRM spam roars.

i think the reason you have some C PPCs firing the correct yellow color and some firing blue is either one set is from a different C weapon mod or it's just an inconsistency within the mod.

That Dire Wolf is full customizable, including the engine. I think that might make it a Battlemech and not an Omni.

I know they are not that good but, I would love to see a build where you use the continuous lasers and have enough cooling to keep them on for more than 2 sec :D Could maybe be good in demolition missions?

Ahh...PPC KJ. The oneclick wonder. Lovely build. PPC Capacitors are a must. Enemy lances disappear quickly.

What ends up happening with a whole lance with kitted out electronic warfare is that the enemy will only notice you if you shoot first or are within "visual" range.

Try to disable WAR FX mods if U use them. They lower fps and cause fps lag.

Once you raise a general alarm, ignore everything and go for the objectives and get out. You get too distracted. It gets CRAZY how many waves drop on you. You get so lucky on these missions though 🤣 I've had 30 mechs end up being dropped and I'm killing them left and right and they just keep coming

I'm not a fan of the infiltration missons. And I've just realized I've never tried them with a stealthed unit. lol... Earlier today I landed on an Ebon Jaguar and ended up killing it by landing on its head. And yes, the Kaiju is a PPC monster with PPC Capacitors!

You do not have to be a fan of them. See them as a "nuisance" you can finish SOLO in under a MINUTE for FULL PAYOUT with something like a 200mp/h light/stealth mech. Especially in Multi-Missions: WHO THE F is annoyed about easy and nearly free money ... with the additional benefit of no repair costs and time?:) No offense meant, Mechwarrior Jay! Have a gg:)

Normally, a Squad of military units is 6 vehicles,, my question is why the game developers didn’t really recognize that fact when putting the game together. ? It just kinda throws off your overall capacity and capabilities, running two vehicles short of a full crew all the time.😱

Sleeping on the cooling tab in the market place. C2 heat sinks, better the then doubled and uses less space, C3 heatsink even better then the C3 and uses one space. Then the protos, my King 6-PPC Crab is heat neutral and goes 70/kph before the super charger doubles that. With caraprace armour. It's a monster.

Last time I did a Patrol mission a Steiner Scout Lance dropped on me and each of the Atlasses had a LongTom 😢😅

You should replace the other heat banks in your Kaiju with the pirate minis. Fight some pirates and try not to completely destroy any battle armor or TP mechs you encounter. You'll save a ton of weight and slots without sacrificing any heat capacity. Maybe a bigger engine or supercharger/MASC combination it to add speed, maybe stealth to take less damage, or maybe Black Carapace for stealth and self repair? Also keep an eye out for the rare Star League crab that mounts PPCs on it's shoulders and LBXs in it's arms it's a beast and my absolute favorite King Crab. I kitted mine in pirate tech and it's a absolute monster that can burst down anything including super heavies in seconds.

You can actually play the infil missions as the Steiner Scout Squad: Nobody can report you if they're all dead! :D Anyway, what do you guys think about the mechlab restrictions with the new YAML? I switched them off tbh, they proved to be tedious. I just want to wreck stuff with my mechs!

@@voidsmasher In new YAML you're restricted from repairing/installing higher tier stuff if you're not affiliated with the faction. For example you can switch cores only in places you're a hero, etc.

"Otherwise you are not be able to get the mission done", Baradul 2023, about Infiltration, which he clearly -doesn't- -understand- isn't his thing (like he stated himself) ... while he has literally DONE (ready to evac, you can do it and cash in the money after the FIRST looted cache) the mission since 5 minutes. Also Bara-"Doing Secondary/Additional Mission Objects aren't effective/lucrative"-dul: "Hey, let's not get out of here before we did not target the last of all the 13 Mechs (a secondary objective, worth a laughably amount of C-Bills). While that was funny, more thanks for the entertaining video and the Schlachtfest you did during the Infiltration Mission, Baradul!:) (As always: Every play-style is a valid one. Demonstrably for the person playing it and having fun. Have fun, too and a gg, Mechwarriors!:) )
