Arriving into Mauritius, we had difficulty with clearing Marley into the country. Because of this, we did everything as quickly as possible to prepare to head back to sea to sail on to the french island of La Reunion.
Sailing offhshore is all about timing and preperation, with a great weather window to continue on, we head to sea as a family on a race to arrive to the island in time and WOW what an entrance! Reunion island is stunning!!!

Nandji 2.0 is a rocket. I am jealous of your sail from Mauritius to Reunion island. I once saw a double rainbow in Uganda and a local fellow told me that whoever sees a double rainbow first is someone that the king would like to have him/her advise the king on matters of state because they are considered to be a very wise person. So Yosh, I guess you are that wiseman who is to serve as advisor to the king of Reunion Island. Sorry Bonita you didn't see the double rainbow before Yosh.

I saw a rainbow like that in Wales once, it was amazing because we had just crossed the bridge in zero visibility, the timing was perfect as a small supercell made a direct hit as we crossed over, the rain and hail was so fast and intense we could only see to the front bumper. Then we reached land on the other side and drove on a few miles, the sky cleared and was intense blue and we rounded the side of a hill and there it was. We could see both ends at once and it was so wide, most amazing rainbow ever, then it doubled. Our relief after that journey was emotional. We were safe but a bit soggy even inside the car. As you may know the estuary of the Severn is very wide, conical shaped and tidal, it creates a bore you can surf on several times a year, which reaches far upstream. The bridge is very high up but we could see nothing for about a couple of miles, until we reached the Welsh side. No other rainbow can compare.

Hi guys, it always amazes me how some of these countries make it so hard to check in and to check out you would think in their wisdom. Welcome you with open arms because if you feel welcome, you spend money on the island, but if you’re not welcome you going to spend as minimum as you can anyway we are looking forward to another country and freedom on the ocean. I would have enquired about Mali before sailing around the world with mali. So many country's have different rules regarding pets. Have a safe trip and take care whilst sailing around South Africa.

We are always well prepared for Marleys onward travel with all the required vaccinations and blood work. We carefully select the countries we visit so he is allowed straight off the boat. This is the first time we have had an issue. Marley not being accepted into Mauritius had nothing to do with Marley.
