I totally hear you! finding time is tricky- try pairing it with other jobs- it helps so much. Have you ever tried a budha board? they are great for practicing line work- they sit on your counter, and every time you are chatting on the phone you can practice.

So helpful and inspiring!! I was wondering, as we cannot see when you reload your brush, how many teardrops can you do before having to reload? As a beginner manage only 3 max before running out of colour..

Awesome video. Thank you for sharing these tips. Does it matter which brand of paint you use for the teardrops? Thanks for your help.
@fairyfox4 жыл бұрын
Some brands work better than others. Wolfe is a universal favorite for linework.

Thanks Jeff, your comment made me smile, my family would agree,, I am really good at crying! hahaha - just kidding. I think one of the ways you can tell a facepainters true age is by checking out their tear drops.

Hi can you tell me what size brush is best for tear drops
@fairyfox4 жыл бұрын
Such a good question! I love every size! #4-5 is my go to- but I drop down to a #1-2 and all the way up to an #8. It is really fun to watch how much it changes a design, by just changing which brush you are using! Define your own success, so try and see what teardrop look you are drawn to, and then that will let you know which tool you need.

I feel like no one does perfect teardrops everytime and I also think the kids don’t know what we’re stressing over lol they really don’t care 😹it’s all in our heads! EDIT: ok maybe YOU do perfect ones everytime lol
@fairyfox4 жыл бұрын
So not true! Mine are far from perfect, but that is my style- fun and flowy. I try and paint by an 80% rule. If I can paint 50 kids at 80% good or 60 kids at 50% good or 25 kids at 90% good- I would pick the 50 kids every time!

Hello! Which brush is the perfect for teardrops? Number and brand please!
@fairyfox4 жыл бұрын
None, and all! The perfect brush is a relationship- and just like not everyone could be happily married to me, my brush might not be your brush. Also, the age of the brush matters, a brand new brush will not make perfect tear drops, and a really old one wont either. All that being said- I like Loew Cornell (yellow handle) #5
