Here's something to mull over...when they play for him do they do it WELL to show him that they are doing well when he is literally in a hell of being blind imobile and being tube fed OR are they deliberately playing badly so that the only thing he has left, his hearing is an aweful thing? I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. I really liked this but can understand if it isn't everybody's cup of tea. As for Charlotte not having to go as far as getting Lizzie to cut of her hand...yes I had a little problem with that too BUT I rationalized it as Charlotte due to the abuse and mother's illness and death (something she probably felt guilty about because in a way, she was happy that mom got sick because it gave her an escape from the institute, but then she'd also feel awful about being happy that her mom got sick.) had severe mental health issues. Consequently THIS plan was the only way SHE thought she could help Lizzie. Not saying she was righ,t so I can see the complaint from the audience. But I could believe somebody with mental health issues THOUGHT she was right. So I can give it a pass and enjoy the rest of it without a problem.

This movie is both overrated and overhated We know it's not a masterpiece, but it's interesting and at least for me, manages to be engaging I give It a 7.5/10
