*Edited*: Some of you have been asking for stats on how often players have lost when playing other people and being sucessfully challenged on Pitstop's category. In the time period investigated in this video, Key lost 1 time due to Pitstop's category, Watto 1 time and Horne 3 times. In a later video, Part 2, these stats are updated. You can always use NoMorePeopleWeveHadBefore (dot) co (dot) uk - a wonderful resource for all BTLs!

Tim got away with "No More Red Heads" too. Class.

It's not only the fact that Key keeps playing Pitstop, but that he *keeps continually* playing her in combination with job-gloves, despite constantly arguing that that's not her occupation!

I adored the revelation that the reason Tim Key always goes for her is that he has a poster of her opposite to where he usually plays from. He’s always ‘don’t look at the bookshelf, don’t look at the books’, but goes to the poster with no qualms.

I can't believe someone has gone to the effort of compiling these. I gave it a search with so little hope, but when you think about it, this is perfect. Thank you!

When you stop and think about it, it's a surprising amount of successfull plays for the reputations she's gotten.

No I feel it’s more of a poisoned chalice than it is made out to be in this video. Her reputation is gained not from the successful plays but from the damage she causes (specifically to Key) in the rest of the game. See even Set 3 Game 10 where he goes out on Nichola Sturgeon from Pitstop’s category of No more dressed in above 50% pink
@MisterAppleEsq3 жыл бұрын
I would argue that it's not the percentage that were unsuccessful that gets the reputation, simply the fact that there have been such a high number of Penelope Pitstop plays that have gotten Key out.
@allyrudge75523 жыл бұрын
Is there a chance she is concurrently the most successful and unsuccessful play?

To be fair, she did get through a good few more times than she should have

I wonder if they've ever picked a category to catch Key's inevitable Penelope. Like school subjects with "I.T"

Maybe it's the Mandela Effect but I thought he'd played it about 100 times and gone out everytime.

Yeah, me too before going through each play, but probably it's the initial three consecutive losses that set the scene and stuck in our minds.

What about the data of not just plays or unsuccessful plays, but also end results of the games. Cause when you think about it it seems that if she doesn't insta wipeout Key, she still gets him eventually.

NoMorePeopleWeveHadBefore (dot) co (dot) uk is a great place to look up those kinds of questions, a wonderful resource for all BTLs! From what I have seen, after Set 1, Pitstop hasn't been that detrimental to Key. Since then, he's never lost by playing her. He's only gone out two times due to her category, and one of those times he was reprieved. Those two occasions were: Christmas Game 2: successfully challenged for Father Christmas wearing job gloves but then reprieved Set 3 Game 10: successfully challenged for Nicola Sturgeon wearing predominantly pink Connecting Key's losses to Pitstop in general is not really viable in my opinion, since he's also lost many games when NOT playing Pitstop. From a statisticians point of view, the causal link is quite weak :)

I’m actually on Key’s side re: IT, unless you’re telling me schools in the UK genuinely had IT (and I don’t mean learning to type/use a computer- that’s not IT) as a subject in the 80s/90s
@MisterAppleEsq3 жыл бұрын
In my school we had IT as a subject in primary school, and then alternating IT/Computer Science in secondary.
@jhfh31123 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've got a GCSE in IT. It's called Computer Science now but it was IT for a while back when they felt they had to teach kids how to use MS Office and not teach them bout real programming / hardware
