you have the standard false teaching...this is the teaching, but if you are divorced and remarried, somehow we will negate the first covenant, and change the adulterous relationship that you currently have, to a legitimate covenant....would this also apply to a same sex marriage....

Matthew uses the term....except.....so where do you come up with a plural....exceptions....

life is simple, and there are a few standard versions....none of which constitute a Biblical reason, for divorce and remarriage...

You're incorrect. Regardless of what you, the false works-based prophetess who posts 800 videos, and AJ want, the Bible doesn't say that. It offers two exceptions, regardless of how you twist them, talk about Erasmus, mistranslate the Greek: Abandonment by an unbelieving spouse and sexual sin. "Lord, Lord! Did I not get on KZbin and tell people that all second marriages are unbiblical?" Phil, understand this. Just because you follow what you think the letter of the law says doesn't make you saved. You cannot get into heaven by following what you think is good behavior.

Marriage can't be permanent if as Jesus said there is none in Heaven.

a standard error.....πορνεία is not sexual immorality, as all sexual activity, in whatever form it may take, out of the marriage covenant is μοιχεία. and there is an example given....er....Joseph and Mary.....

There's a fourth group of people that you failed to mention. That is... What do you say to those who are remarried who's ex-wife or ex husband is still alive. Should they divorce their second wife or husband to avoid being in the sin of adultery?
@Thomas116-m2n2 ай бұрын
Works-based theologians will say yes to this question but there is no Biblical evidence of it. Look to what is in there, not to what they want it to be. Some of them may have been guilted by pastors into leaving their marriages so they did and they want others to do the same as they want others to be as lonely as they are and trying to pass it off as righteousness. Others want their first spouse back so they divorce their second and say that they need to reconcile with their first (which is against Deut 24). I look at what is in the Bible. Jesus recognized each marriage of the woman at the well; He called them "husbands" and at no time said for her to go back and divorce each one and either go back to the first or remain unmarried (like works-based theologians insist must happen). Even if it was sinful for them to enter into a second marriage (in other words, if neither partner were divorced for Biblical reasons), they should honor the covenant that they are in now. Joshua was held to the covenant that he made with the Gibeonites, even though he shouldn't have made it- he did. Also, their first marital covenant would have been dissolved anyway once they joined in flesh to another person. Works-based salvationist believe that there is no such thing as divorce but in reality, it exists. It isn't God's preference, but as Jesus said, it was due to hardness of heart. Pray about it.

I will tell you why LUKE and MARK left OUT the clause…. In Matthew he was talking to the JEWS… they were stoned for adultery… so they were DEAd… therefore they could for adultery…. WE CANNOT UNTIL DEATH!
@philipbuckley75910 ай бұрын
another standard false teaching as Paul used...δουλεία bondage, and not όριο or bound.....
@Thomas116-m2n2 ай бұрын
So you are not in bondage but still bound? The person leaves you, gets married to or becomes sexual with another person, has children, removes any contact with you, and you are still bound to them? Sounds like you're under bondage.

It was the same conversation-Matthew and Mark but different accounts. Check it out. People were already marrying after a divorce for more than a thousand years at this point. Why was there NEVER a verse in the Bible that tells remarried people to leave their current spouses? That would be pretty important, wouldn't it? Yet we cannot find a single verse that says anything about it. Death is one reason that a marriage ends. Abandonment by an unbeliever and sexual sin are two other reasons that a marriage covenant is dissolved.
