I am so so very sad about my daughter who believes she was sexually abused as a very young child. I do not know how this could have happened or who or where. I listen and grieve and try to affirm. I dont know more to say. And now she thinks that is is her dad. I cannot affirm this even though I know she needs to be affirmed. I think she is wrong about who. What do I do?

That is a very sticky situation and needs to be addressed immediately. The best thing to do for her is to get her a therapist who can professionally assess whether her claims are true or not

She is a therapist herself and i believe that some therapy has actually helped cement these ideas into her. She will not pursue anything to the contrary. She is 44; not a child and cannot be forced to do what she does not want to do.

@@boubella11 Trust your fucking daughter. She didn't become a psychologist for no reason. Most people in psych fields were victims of some kind of abuse themselves.
