The persist combo is my fav archetypes for vintage cube. Here is my argument for its inclusion: 1. As mentioned in the video, it helps to improve green - white’s identity and help to make cards like birthing pod a lot better 2. It’s a green archetype that’s not ramp - this is actually very important as there is a steep drop off between 1-2 CMC dorks and 2 cmc dorks are alot weaker and often too slow. The best thing to do at 2 cmc green should not be another dork - it really hurts diversity. Melira introduces a green archetype without being this overly dependent on mana dorks. 3. Oko/ Uro are too strong- melira combo are necessary to provide a strong counter play to good stuff blue decks etc.
