Yukiko is simply the best non-mc party member of all time no question. Optimized stats, insane healing, curing status ailmentsmagic, SP, and a moveset so stacked to her element itll make any magic user cry. She even learns fire break, so nothing can stop her. Her only real weakness simply comes from having moveslot syndrome.....whch its hard to say that to anyone else. I should mention even Atlus thought she was too good when her moveset was literally split between Ann (fire), Haru (status ailment curing), and Morgana (healing) for P5

Ryuji in C?!?! I'd argue he's by far the best party member in the game, honestly. In a game dominated by physical skills over magic, he is by far the best physical attacker at late game, having both the best single target and the best multi-target physical skills of any party member. His trait is also capable of buffing not only himself but his allies' physical skills, making him strictly optimal for any physical-based party composition. His magic isn't even all that bad either, considering that his ultimate weapon gives Elec Boost by default without wasting a skill and he actually innately learns shock boost for ailment technical, while Yusuke doesn't learn freeze boost. All of this on top of his extremely good stats and his third awakening persona literally learning party-wide charge makes him without a doubt the best character in the game in my opinion. Accuracy also really isn't a problem in P5 because player advantage is generally so high and skills don't even have low accuracy rates for the most party, with Sukukaja and auto-masuku always being an option for you anyhow.

Yeah honestly I'd switch Yusuke and Ryuji. His ultimate skill adding charged status to the entire party was fantastic, pairs well with Makoto's ultimate which debilitates all enemies as well. Biggest issue with Yusuke is most of his big damage comes from baton passing and very few bosses are going to give you a chance to do that, not to mention his physical attacks get beat by ryuji save for an early game section thanks to a katana yusuke can get. I can't even fathom what the heck Nyarly was thinking.

One thing I found really cool about Tatsuya is that if you have a save file of Innocent Sin on your PSP, his stats from the endgame of IS carry over to Eternal Punishment, so my Tatsuya had 99 dexterity the moment I got him. Pretty cool touch if you ask me.

Ryuji in C tier should be considered a warcrime, same with Haru. Ryuji has the best physical damage in the game, access to Matarukaja without Jazz Club, and gets a party wide Charge in the third semester. As for Haru, you can choose if you want her to specialize in Gun or Psychic damage, and Life Wall in third semester is insanely strong too. They're B tier at worst IMO, but they're my go to boss killers. Edit: I don't mean for this to sound aggressive or anything, I just don't personally see them being as bad as you say they are.

I guess to give Haru some Credit, she learns the Karn skills (Her Ultimate Skill applying Both at once), the Gun & Psy Boost / Amps, She learns One-Shot Kill so you could in theory make her a crit spammer strength user or a Mage who deals tech damage with ailments. I cannot get down with ryuji in C. With agility buffs I've never had a problem with him missing and yusuke lacking power charge gives him a lower damage output. Plus shock in P5 is really broken, once you inflict it you've essentially won the battle since you can just keep getting crits back to back and spamming all out attacks

I've always just used the party wide buffs group. Ryuji for good elec, phys, and atk up. Yusuke for ice, strong technicals, and eva/acc up. Then there's Makoto with nuke, healing, and def up, and nuclear+elec/ice or phys+elec/ice make for a devastating combo when the enemy doesn't have an exploitable weakness, but not the right resistances to avoid freeze and shock.

I will say that using Koromaru and Ken together is a good combination- they cover four elements (six if you count the two physical methods they can hit- slash for Koro and pierce for Ken), both are pretty quick, and they both have a lot of power behind those attacks. Give them a Marakukaja to patch up their defense and they can work well with pretty much anyone else.

Both Ken and Aki have electric resistance (and Shinji has enough HP to tank a few hits), and Ken can heal while Akihiko debuffs the boss, leaving Shinjiro and the protagonist to bring the pain (and if the debuffs are applied and no heals are needed, they can add their own physical damage to the mix)

Yukiko definitely deserves an S tier. She is definitely the most valuable party member in persona 4. Her healing is good but what really sets her apart in my experience is her sheer nuking potential. Kanji and naoto are good, but I think yukiko is definitely a step above them. Teddie deserves an A tier too, he's definitely just as useful as kanji

Aigis has one important gimmick over every other party member: Orgia mode can be used to instantly cleanse any debuff before it's her turn (*cough* charm *cough*). And if you play on hard without overleveling the full-party buffs are very close to mandatory at all times in the final battle.

With Reload coming out, Koromaru is one of the best party members equipment, magic, and bonus stats wise. Koromaru usually goes first attack wise, so setting up Revolution with equipment that greatly boosts critical hits in other nembers usually means critical hits all around.

I remember going through P5 mostly with Yusuke and Ryuji. Since Yusuke gains Sukukaja he raises accuracy for the party. Then I just freeze or shock enemies and send them to oblivion with their high Phys skills and technicals. Makoto was also there mainly for support. Akechi was like three turned by a God Hand crit from Ryuji which was really funny.

I think Yukiko, Ryuji, and Makoto should be higher Yukiko does so much damage cuz you can give her mind charge through the bike rides and she has fire boost/amp so she's the party member that's best suited for boss fights since they have the hidden 50% phys resistance Ryuji gets Matarukaja which is amazing, learns power charge naturally which is a pretty big boon over Yusuke, and shock is VERY good in Royal since, unlike freeze, it'll stay applied after hitting a technical for a lot of damage. There's also his trait which is just a massive power boost whenever it triggers As for Makoto, she's broken solely because of the gun that gives +11 to all stats cuz there's a weird bug in p5 where weapon stats are applied twice so Makoto has a +22 to EVERY stat along with all her utility

I feel it's insane to complain about Mitsuru's AI but in the same breath put Akihiko in A tier. He prioritizes Sukunda over Rakunda/Tarunda half the time, and if you put him on supportive it's not unheard of to have him prioritize single target debuffs over the AOE ones. And then against Nyx, putting him on supportive is a waste, yet he's probably a worse attacker than Mitsuru by that point in the game. You also mentioned that Yukari had slightly better magic than Mitsuru, and that is true, but Mitsuru gets Ice Amp. Their damage isn't even in the same zip code.

In Persona 1 I remember fusing a dead fish looking persona that had high affinity with the protagonist. Whenever he got at low HP it decided to literally nuke the enemies into oblivion and in my play through it activated frequently. I loved that randomness of 1 tbh.

Ryuji missing is just due to bad luck on your end. Ryuji, Yusuke, and Ann as the core team by the endgame is the most OP of the bunch since you end up killing everything so fast that taking damage yourself matters very little.

Only thing I could say towards Haru is that, while she doesn’t get much use at first glance, her 3rd Persona skill is one of the most busted things I've seen in Persona: Tetrakarn AND Magakarn for the entire party. Against bosses (Royal's final boss) that skill is quite nuts. Also, I got a good chunk of critical moves with her. Ryuji I didn’t have accuracy issues tbh, but that may be just me

There’s a few a disagree with here…okay a lot but the morgana one really frosts my cookies. Morgana has wind (the hardest to get element and valuable with technical hits off of Ann’s burns) and lucky punch can crit knock down entire enemy party’s for basically free. If any other character can’t hit an enemy weakness with their elements there’s very little they can do to participate towards an all out attack or generate baton passes. While morgana is weaker in boss fights the healing provides valuable support for longer skirmishes. I just can’t see a character with aoe healing as less than B by default tbh

I decided to look at some palaces to see if Wind was really that rare and im surprised it was rare. But Wind isnt a particularly strong enough element to warrant the effort because it doesn’t do much. Both the Crit Punches are 75% accurate and you have at most a 60% chance to crit (thats not reliable). Monas trait is the weakest trait in the game. Falls off when you initially get mediarama and only becomes somewhat relevant when you hit the small section of needing mediarahan but not high enough level to get it. Then it’s negligible again forever Wind can only Tech off of Burn and Confuse if you read a book. This isn’t anything note worthy because other elements and other statuses/ailments are just better? Like Winds special gimmick is that its like 1-2 Cheaper to cast and thats it. Examples below Shock provides opportunities for Nuclear,Gun and Phys while preventing the enemy from moving. Freeze does this as well but removes any immunities against them at the cost of removing the status when hit. Sleep makes everything tech and removes the enemies turn once or twice at the cost of minor healing and being removed again when hit. These other statuses allow bigger baton pass chains and are often hit by the bigger hitters of the team I think Mona is just very Mediocre.

Chie's galactic punt really doesn't mean much. P4G's encounters are so incredibly easy even when doing an extreme lowlevel challenge. Also dragon hustle is insane if you give her the chakra ring, and she becomes the best support with it, but thats only endgame. So basically she sucks until you beat the killer

Dragon Hustle is really meh when taking her Max Sp into account At Max Level she has 298 Sp, which is two points away from being able to use Dragon Hustle again. This means at most you can make her cast it three times with Chakra Ring unless you wanna use some suboptimal gear (if it exists) to get that to 4.

Except she does like no damage. Literally the weakest mage character outside of Kanji and Chie and those two characters outdamage her with Phys. Almighty skills do pathetically low damage for the Sp cost to cast them and Mind Charge is used for Sp issues rather than Damage. By the point you get her her niche of Dungeon Crawling master is kinda moot because you already went through most of the dungeons. Despite the lack of weaknesses she’s extremely frail having the lowest END of the group. Her Support Skills are really lacking being niche or useless. Her only decent damage build requires a Bike ride and Rng to get a Frost Gun with and using up her Accessory to do alright Ice Damage but thats outdone by Teddie because he still does higher damage and has amazing Support skills She is far from S.

On the note of Morgana, and being as objective as possible, I'd probably say he's best for Palace/Mementos crawling and Makoto's better for bosses, Morgana's Lucky Punch skills are pretty decent for knocking down enemies you might not be able to right away (or later on in Royal potentially all enemies), but I think it's worth noting that Makoto does not get party healing herself until she gets Mediarama which helps Morgana in the earlier game over Makoto. From what I've seen generally Morgana's armor situation isn't thaaat much lower than armor for women on average, sometimes pretty even, his weapon power does seem on the lower end, but also high accuracy which can help for his chances of stealing items. While I do feel he was done dirty with the writing, I don't think his combat side suffers that much, just more on the side of having lower HP and Endurance, which won't help him for bosses

I'd say buff up Yukiko and Ann by a tier and move Naoto down one. Yukiko is the only P4 party member who can even vaguely compete with the mc. She's given the most efficent moves for her usage that she could have gotten and has a damn fine stat spread too. Basically Yukari but far far stronger in the context of their game. Ann is your only real true mage for P5 whilst also getting a surprisingly handy number of utility moves. Yosuke for instance has a lot of battles and encounters where he just can't quite pop off and is made pretty mediocre because of it but Ann stays strong throughout, regardess of the situation. As for Naoto... She's very much a jack of all trades, master of none. Her magic coverage is handy but by the point of the game you get her that utility wanes. She's the most sp hungry party member too and just never hits the highs that Kanji, MC or Yukiko can.

The Ryuji slander😭 He’s definitely not as bad as you make him out to be. As far as OG P5 ( never played Royal), even though Yusuke has s stronger start than him, it more than evens out with swift strike, and he only gets better with Charge and God’s Hand. Dude should be in A as well. Ann never left my party. I honestly consider her to be probably the most well rounded out of the cast in P5 (outside of MC of course). High magic damage with mind charge later, status’ to lock down enemies( especially in 3rd and 5th dungeon where alot are either res/null phys or don’t have weakness, thus draining sp faster if trying to brute force it, Matarunda to mitigate damage during boss battles, and the Dia line as an emergency heal, AND dekaja as well. She has more answers to fights than most of the cast in P5 and still focuses as a being a magic nuker. She’s an S from me personally, but I could live with high A.

I agree with a lot with this except Ryuji and Yusuke I think they should switch just because I believe has some of the highest def and hp out of all party members making it so he can use physical moves with out you needing to worry if he is going to die, but you talks about Ryuji missing a lot but the even when playing hard mode he did not really miss at all but maybe I'm lucky. fun comments yippee Morgana is an A tier character for me, and this is mostly due to the lucky punch skills. In my experience, these completely blow through palaces with crits and his high luck, and conserve sp, which is nice. Dying in two hits sucks, but clearing 80 percent of the game is incredible. The lil guy was almost always in my party. Akechi is a C tier. He has a lot of coverage, but nothing truly worthwhile because magic is just not worth it, in addition to having no elemental amp skills. The only interesting skills are debilitate, riot gun, and lavaetinn (or however you spell that), but you only get them in Maruki's, which is far too late. Using him is like running a marathon in rain boots when you have running shoes at home. Technically workable, but why? Haru is at least a B tier. Her psy skills are good, but the real kicker is the gun skills. Getting amp and boost in rare and hella useful, making her a consistent damage dealer with One Shot Kill throughout boss fights and random encounters. Plus, the karakarn skills, heat riser and amrita shower add some extra versatility which is always nice. Sucks that her actual gun is straight ass though.

I feel like this one missed a bit in terms of opportunity costs and game versions. For example, Naoto is described largely based on Golden which heavily reworked her compared to the original release. As for any mention whatsoever of Yusuke's tier 3 skill, this comes in the context of Royal, and in Royal buffs don't matter for party members in the late game because Joker can abuse persona passives to just spam Thermopylae whenever he feels like it. If anything, this actually elevates Makoto in comparison because Joker doesn't have a cheap total debuff move.

And, conversely, is a party member worth including for something they can't do remotely as well as Joker? Joker can do a total party buff for 30 SP. Can you spend Joker's turn better? Maybe you could make an argument that he should be throwing out the most expensive attacks possible instead, to exploit Wakefulness. Except a total party buff has a fair cost of 90 SP and would take 3 moves to reproduce by other means, so in terms of impact having that stuff on tap is, in my opinion, a very good use of Joker's time. It is a unique utility that Joker has above and beyond the Wild Card utility that lands him in SS by default. The logic behind this argument is echoed in the video itself when discussing classic Persona, with the "don't build the protag for Str because you have X" arguments for A tier picks.

Ryuji being placed so low seems to be widely contended and I agree. Outside of multihit/aoe skills he doesnt really miss that often between 400hrs on both versions of the game. Party power charge is good especially paired with Hyakka in end game so its worth the 1 turn of set up for 3/4 of the party to go all the way in on damage next turn. I've also never really understood the argument for makoto being as hyped up as she is. If its nuclear damage, joker likely already fills that role. She isnt dealing more damage than ryuji on phys, she's too balanced to outdamage or outheal ann and yusuke has the benefit of good phys damage, good speed, built to crit, and having a chance to set up technicals with ryuji. Maybe I'm crazy but when you have 3 specialists and you are the best all-rounder in the game, why ever slot makoto aside from just liking makoto? Not that it matters being a single player game and all.

Its morso the fact shes a jack of all trades and pretty damn good in most areas (except phys) and can play healer while offering other things (which Mona struggles with). Also her best gun is a +22 to all stats due to the double stat bug the game has (reapplying stat boosts again in battle but it’s invisible) She also has amazing Synergy with the party with her Nuclear Teching off of Burn,Shock and Freeze and having a trait that boosts the rate that they are inflicted significantly (on top of Ann and Ryuji getting rate boosts on their own). This also provides alot of baton pass opportunities. Want a Phys team? Slot Makoto so those Shocks/Freeze will happen. For Phys Techs (and so she can Nuclear Tech for good damage). Magic Team? Ann and Makoto is insane with Anns amazing Mag DPS followed up by Makotos Nuclear techs doing great damage. Dont want Damage at the moment? she has good END and Marukaja and Mediarama/Mediarahan I also think Joker as an argument is weak because you can use him for literally anything. And a if you are gonna use it then you gotta acknowledge the baton chains she’s providing that leads to some of Jokers big damage.

Ryujis Physical skills are a fair amount stronger then Yusukes so thats just not true. And i personally prefer Shock > Freeze because Ryuji gets Shock Boost (so he can inflict it more often then Yusuke and his Freeze) and Shock doesn’t go away after getting hit so i can abuse Technicals more and still get that enemy turn removed. Sure it doesn’t get rid of immunities but thats fair enough price. Also Yusukes Strongest Skill can sometimes counter act the Techical Hits you are going for with a 35% Crit rate (not taking compared LUCK stats into consideration) which both does less then a max Technical hit and overrides it Also Ryuji has amazing Synergy with Joker and Makoto? Dont know how Yusuke does better in that coz Nuclear Techs off of Shock and Joker can get a free knockdown with piercing bullets

Naoto is the weakest Magic Dps character outside of Kanji/Chie what are you talking about? her MAG stat is super mid because devs tried to make her a mixed attacker (base persona at level 99 her MAG is tied with Yosuke but factoring in Evos She actually loses a point or two in MAG while Yosuke gets more). She doesn’t get any actual Boosts or Amps passives for attacking and has to rely on Mind Charge (Instakill boosts don’t matter). Almighty is unironically likely at its weakest in 4 where the Sp costs are sky high but among the strongest Almighty attacks they are just a tiny bit stronger than a unboosted Severe Elemental (but Elemental Skills can have Boosts and Amps) in a game where enemies can Resist Almighty. You could argue for the Frost Gun Bufudyne build so she can have a good single target Dps but you would just be running a really bad Teddie who has higher Defenses, Higher Damage without relying on Accessories,Potent healing and has the best Support skills in the game.

His MAG is very similar to Makotos throughout the whole run? And both get the Tier upgrades, Boosts and Amps at similar levels. Big thing is that Makotos not frail, has a better element and has a trait that synergies with most of the team? More stuff Nuclear > Wind Nuke gimmick is that it techs off of Shock, Freeze and Burn. Ryuji and Ann get the rate boosts for these statuses up so they can often provide opportunities for Makoto to Baton pass. The fact that her trait boosts this rate of which these are inflicted by 25% significantly supports this as a effective tactic. Winds gimmick is that its a bit cheaper by like 1-2 points and it techs off of Burn (and Confuse if you read a cool book). Its not bad and can save up enough for maybe one extra healing turn buts its not great. Critical hits are cool but the moves unreliable with 75% accuracy on top of the 60% crit cap. While this is endgame Makoto actually gets a High Crit Ultimate weapon though I don’t know the the Crit % its good enough for me to put it above the Crit Punches due to not taking a Skillslot,not have a Hp cost or 75% Accuracy. I feel I wrote enough for now so I’ll end my comment here

The only thing she can do against bosses is physical moves or almighty, which you're gonna run out of SP before the fight is halfway over due to how spongy P4 bosses are

I kinda feel the same, sure she gets all the dyne spells but she doesn’t get the boosts, only mind charge which is effectively just a 25% damage boost for magic that literally every other party member gets access to, but that’s all she has for damage other than her ice boost gun. But even still, in a casual run she will likely be the most useful party member for most of your playtime, just absolutely blasting through the dungeons. It’s easy to forget that even though bosses are the most important fights, they aren’t the bulk of the game so I can understand the placement. People really overrate her damage though, just seeing mind charge and thinking she’s great. I’d probably say B tier.

Since you didn’t, I will. Rei and Zen: They go in C because they always felt off to me. They can do a lot, but I’d rather have almost anyone else. Only reason they’re in C is because I rarely took them out of my party for story reasons. Sophia: A. She was a staple in my P5S party. Her healing was great, and her bless damage was super welcome. Zenkichi: S. He’s really cool, his combos feel good, and he hits like a truck. I love him and will not have my mind changed. Erina: B. Super useful. Her charge skill almost guarentees getting a 1MORE, and she can move very far. Only reason she isn’t in A is because her forget aspected attacks screwed me over way too often. Toshiro: B. I like a lot about Toshiro. His almighty/gun attacks are really cool. His ability to place temporary cover has saved me several times. The only thing that stops me from putting him higher is that if he dies, it’s game over, no matter how many baton passes you have.

Glad Kanji is on A tier too, because of how busted physical moves are in P4 he's a must have party member. Earlier in the game he has Torrent Shot which is also an amazing skill. Just a great party member throughout the game (unlike Chie which kinda sucks mid-game), the only downside is that he doesn't get any physical attack for all foes :/ also his third awakening skill is garbage Yosuke's third awakening skill on the other hand is actually really great!! It's basically Masukukaja + Mediarama with the same cost as Masukukaja. You can focus Yukiko on fire attack because she's a fucking beast (honestly best party member hands down). I have to disagree on Naoto though, she's amazing for sweeping dungeon shadows but for bosses she's really not that good, her magic stat is mid :(

teddie and yukiko are great ain't gonna lie. teddie has an ability that allows you to escape a dungeon, has healing skills, and debuff exhaustion skill (also can deal good damage). yukiko is also a great healer and salvation is a great skill, although it cost a lot id you don't use chakra ring (also can deal decent amounts of damage). yosuke is also another great party member. he has dia/rama/rahan skills, has 2 strong wind skills, dekaja, also brave blade, and masukukaja/sukukaja

Yosuke isn’t good as a character wind is a rare weakness element post kanji’s dungeon. P4 has a meta for specialisation and both him and naoto suffer for this. You would actually be better for Yu to just learn his niche skills and put someone else on the team like kanji in instead

Kanji is good purely for having the highest damage output outside of Yu, yosuke has the problem of not being specialised to anything besides speed and wind attacks are rarely useful for weakness exploits compared to the others. Yu alone can grab his niche abilities like wind and dekaja and he will hit harder paired with the other specialised damage dealers and you aren’t missing anything from yosuke because a couple characters can hit harder than him or just give out better support

Thank God I'm not the only one flabbergasted by putting Ryuji in C. Sorry mate, to each their own but we genuinely did not play the same game. His magic stat is shite and he's pretty slow but when he hits, he kills shit _dead._ Charge is great, and while you _can_ give it to Yusuke as well, Ryuji's multitargeting attacks always got more mileage out of it for me. Crits are pretty damn good too, and his low speed is also offset pretty easily by Fusion Alarm equips. He's also a surprisingly good support character if you build him like that. I always give him Debilitate over Makoto because his Elec moves are pretty useless unless you're going for clutch Shock plays, which-to be fair, are also pretty viable, given that Shock is arguably the best status condition (at least until you unlock additional Rage technicals) since you can just chain All-out Attacks and 1 Mores. Also he gets Shock Boost naturally whereas Yusuke has to settle for equip items that give Freeze Boost, and it'd be remiss of me not to mention that his best weapon, _Imprisoned Mjolnir,_ is _super_ fuckin' easy to get compared to most of your teammates' ultimate weapons, which usually require endgame Max Arcana Rank Personas. Both are definitely good party members, but Ryuji is just on a different level. The only thing Yusuke has over him is _Hyakka Ryouyan,_ which, while great in a vacuum, is rendered thoroughly redundant by _Attis_ and chain-fusing _Vitality of the Tree_ onto whatever your preferred omnibuffer of choice is. Assuming you aren't just speccing into a _Wealth of Lotus_ Orpheus Picaro F, which is just Attis on crack. Doubly so if you give it the Auto skills. Putting Mitsuru in B is pretty barmy as well. She was the highest damage dealer on my first playthrough-granted, I had the benefit of full control, but Concentrate (or fuckin'... _Mind Charge_ holy shit is that a dumb name) into Bufudyne instagibs pretty much anything that isn't a boss. Also helps that Ice damage never stops being good, much like Wind. Which, coming off the heels of Persona 5 Royal, is pretty batty. Her crit rate is nuts too, she got more crits than any party member except Junpei. Shoutout especially to _Main Gauche,_ that one weapon she gets towards the end of the game that has a high rate of inflicting Distress. That thing was fuckin' rad.

haru is just actually really hard to build, as you're more encouraged to lean into specializing her rather than keep her as a jack of all trades. she's FANTASTIC for double rage technicals with psi with MC which is near if not guaranteed to kill anything you can put rage on (which is quite a lot), and her gun skills properly invested in are very reliable damage. i did gun haru in vanilla p5 and psi haru in royal, and she excelled at both when invested yukari i feel deserves to drop lower due to a less severe case of morgana syndrome and actually quite poor damage. early game yukari just folds like paper if she doesn't get hit by wind, and MC is the best healer as necessary for most of the game due to cadenza + even earlier access to healing spells, and P3MC is not as much of an offensive powerhouse compared to yu or joker in lategame where you can safely rely on aigis or mitsuru to do good raw damage, while MC flexes. yukari's a B at BEST for me after all my runs of P3, and i drop her as soon as i can usually yukiko is a hard S tier for me as you have more options to fix her squishiness in p4 than you do for fixing yukari's squishiness, and she has a fantastic kit with great damage. she suffers in bathhouse due to lack of these options and high swift strike clapping potential, but she scales up super hard after that, and has perfect synergy with yu and how things work in p4 in general compared to p3's consistent damage per turn, where the meta is now to buff up and blow up; keeping you alive while you set up, and contributing good damage during burst time. naoto also has S potential for shield of justice alone almost imo; the singular most important member for margaret and sets herself apart in golden after third tier persona awakenings

While it makes me sad to see the waifu Haru in C, I do agree with your points about her. In my opinion though, I think her biggest problem is 8-moveslot syndrome. the moves she learns are too spread out and unspecialized - Psy, Gun, boosters for both, reflectors, Amrita shower, Heat Riser... something usually has to give or certain aspects of her moveset become underpowered. Late join hurts real bad. SSS+++ tier for me personally but i might be biased.

I mostly agree with you, especially since I don't normally favour the all rounders in persona, but given that most players will build her as either gun or psy exclusively I think that becomes less of an issue for her. Of all the all rounders in persona I'd say Haru is def one of the best. Good to see more Haru enjoyers :) I'd bump her up to an A personally but I'm also mildly biased since she's my favourite lol

Robin Hood is 'okay' for the level he is at, learning Megidola innately Loki is just terrible. Laevateinn hits hard, but Akechi is not given the means to maximize the damage he can deal

Even if you do give him Charge using the jazz club/fighting spirit, I’d rather use Ann since her damage output with Concentrated Blazing Hell and Fire Boost/Amo outdamages him by a mile. Plus extra affinities is useful for the first phase of the true final boss. My favourite lineup is Ryuji, Ann and Haru with Joker on support

Aigis belongs in A. There will be niche situations where you want to run Mitsuru or one of Junpei/Koromaru over her but generally the protagonist covers the missing elemental weakness. In fact, the *only* thing keeping P3/FES Aigis (and Akihito+Yukari) out of S tier is the lack of directly controlling them in combat. That’s because those three are *so* good at their roles that they let the protagonist do whatever you need instead of spending turns on buffs/debuffs. The issue was kinda fixed in P3 Reload, with the buff and debuff skills getting more spread out, but that game is broken in a lot of other ways. I’m not saying that Reload is bad, just that there are things where balance flew out the window.

Mark is that high? His strength is great, but considering how important speed is in Persona 1, it's very common he fails to get participation exp and therefore lags a couple levels behind the party. He's often a notable weak link unless you waste time grinding him up. Wow, Junpei is... high. He has a really painful weakness during mid-game, and doesn't get his best skills for quite late, with a big skill gap. His physical is great, but... he's a one-trick pony with little to fall back on during the many mid-gate physical resistant bosses. Who also exploit his weakness, as wind is commonly used during that period. AIGIS IN SAME TIER AS JUNPEI?! She's like a Junpei who has other things she can do! And she'll NEVER get downed unless her weakness is hit, her sturdiness and her not falling when she misses an attack is excellent. Morgana's not THAT bad combat-wise. Makoto is better, obviously, and you can more easily pick another character, but Morgana can dodge quite a bit and keep healing duties once you level him enough. Plus, his luck attack can be reeeeally useful for knocking down enemies who you can't exploit. S: Protags, Maki, Eiikichi, Tatsuya, Yukari, Akihiko, Aigis, Yukiko, Chie/Kanji, and Makoto. A: IS!Maya, Katsuya, Mitsuru, Metis, Naoto, Ann, and Ryuji. B: 1!Ellen, Lisa, Jun, Baofu, 2!Nanjo, Ken, Shinji, Yosuke, Teddie, Yusuke, Haru, and Akechi. C: Mark, Brown, Yukino, 1!Nanjo, Ulala, 2!Ellen, Junpei, Morgana, and Sumire. D: Ayane, Reiji, and Koromaru.

I do disagree with your opinion on Junpei, mostly because Aigis never really gets to use her physical attacks- which are generally less effective than Junpei's- because she's too busy keeping your buffs up, Junpei doesn't need to worry about that. Plus in my experience, Junpei is one of the most unkillable behemoths on your party by the end game, having one of the highest Max HP pools and effectively getting Regenerate 3 iirc how spring of life works. It doesn't help as much as it could because he only gains most of his defensive prowess late in the game, but don't discount how much punishment he chan take; and Brave Blade will usually be better than most of Aogis' physical skills. Amusingly enough Junpei only really suffers much in the mid-game, where his specialties aren't as valuable to the team- He's not universally on my final team because so many of the p3 cast are so good...But he always has a good showing when he is.
