God people this song and stray cat strut were written around the same time. Eddy Dixon the writer of this song was a real rockabilly artist long before the cats were even heard of. Eddy was part of the gang that included Robert Gordon. And this isn't how the original sounds. Dave and group made this sound far more like Stray Cat Strut than Eddy did.

I've got a bootleg of the polydor album, irs far better than the big beat one. When I last talked to Vanian, he said it was all bound up in contract and that why it hadn't been released. He said he may re-record the tracks with a pick up band in America ?? That was over a year ago !!! I for one wish they'd release it, I prefer it to The Damned in some ways : )
